I never thought in my life I would sit here and watch people work and truly enjoy it. I work in the trades myself as an industrial/commercial electrician and we have a great time most of the time cracking jokes on people all day. We work a ton of hours and spend more time together than family. I’ve always said it should be a tv show
Yeah same here I had to retire early though because of health issues but we understand that cracking the jokes and poking fun at each other is just part of it man it helps pass the time and no one gets thier feelings hurt because like I said we get it lol

Veteran builder here. If that's required it should fall under the builder's responsibilities, along with exit signs and emergency lights. I would also encourage Ryan to be asking for change order pricing before I pull triggers on ANY changes.. Some builders can really rake you over the coals on changes to scope.

A little late on this comment but where ever you park your trucks you should have had the electrician run outdoor plugs to plug your trucks in for the winter
With a box that long your going to want a second tarp arm that holds the front down to keep wind from underneath. I have a 20’ box on my truck and came brand new without it almost lost tarp first day it was windy, put the second arm on and no issues

I’ve never seen texture that terrible. I know it’s imperfect but there’s some sort of consistency to the applied texture. I used to watch my dad and uncle adjust the spray pattern and thickness, but this, this just looks very random a lack of craftsmanship
TIP when you're holding the paint brush , hold it lower toward bristles on large flat area with 2 fingers and thumb. You will find you have more control and it's way more comfortable with less chance of hand cramping.

You can unbolt that tarp arm on each side like your planning for the summer but be careful. The springs that are down low on the box have a lot of pressure on them. They will whip that arm around quick.
If you haven’t installed that compressor yet, I have a tip. When I did mine they recommended putting hockey pucks under each anchor point and anchor them right through the pucks. This will help with the vibrations from the compressor into the concrete. But as I type this it seems like you are doing the install the next day, so I think I’m too late.
Ryan!!!!! LOCK YOUR MAIN ELECTRICAL DISCONNECT IN THE ON POSITION now that the powers on if it’s left un locked anyone can come by and shut your whole building down!
Ryan, I just installed metal door and frame just like this. Make sure you or contractors seal with silicone clear between the door sill aluminum plate and floor on the outside and inside edge. Otherwise, you will get water inside from under the door sill plate. I sealed these up nice for our shop. And yeah, I get so mad about people saying they did something and never do. You have to constantly check everyones work.

Ryan get 2 nylon straps maybe 4 feet long each and put one one each side of the motor frame where ray said to put the forks and you said no .... and lift with forks in the loops .... we have the exact same compressor and that's how we lifted it
Should take a paint pen or sharpie and write the service date on the filters when you get the machines back. That way you can tell next time if they have been serviced or not.

Ryan for the love move the thing over as close as you can get it to where you want with the pallet attached. Then get some straps rig up to the top of the compressor pick it up with the skid forks from the straps remove the pallet and then set it in place where you want it.

If it's a flat paint he will be fine.
The darker the paint the more it absorbs light.

Nice color choice on the carpet squares. Goes perfectly with the walls and the darker color will help to hide dirt, oil,, and concrete stains, etc.

Who did the mudding? Should have done more sanding. Seeing all the imperfections and those weird feather looking lines through the paint.
I think he said they did that because he wanted some texture in the walls not sure why but I remember him saying that a couple videos back
He said it’s a skip trowel and it was on purpose for texture. It probably looks a little weird because the colors he chose are so dark and flat. A white would hide them more.
I was curious on why such massive double roll up doors for a lounge and gym area? Was that decided after the building was planned?
It makes it easier for them to move stuff in and out instead of having to go all the way through the building.
One of the doors is completely pointless.
