This happend today in school. My friend went in to shock and had a seizure. I was the only one who knew what to do :\ schools need to teach what to do in case of a seizure !
Exie Duquette nice job dude u saved his or hers life(:
Exie Duquette This happened today in my school. Unfortunately the boy was playing football and when this happened he failed down and broke his head.. I watched this to know in the future what to do in such situations.. Bruhh
They may have a first aid course they go through yearly. However it's hard to remember that information, especially when it's rarely used, and especially under stress. I wonder if your teacher had been informed that your friend gets seizures? If they had, I would be much more annoyed with them not keeping that information fresh in their minds.
Actually just today exactly same thing happened with me a friend of mine suffered a sizure today
This shouldn’t have ads
Shame on u guys for having ads on these type of videos
This happened a few days ago. A girl in Orchestra had a seizure and we only knew because the girl fell and knocked over a bass. Thank God my teacher knew the protocol. She’s okay now, god bless her.
I think its nice to see videos like this to show people what to do. I had a epileptic fit at my work yesterday morning and whacked my face on some stairs, luckily someone found me quickly as i lost a fair amount of blood
Holy fuck dude.
Sweet Home Alabama
@@rosamoraly4egses69the fcuk is wromf with you
It's seizures not fits dumbass
They should show this at schools.
Lol no. Finding the value of "x" is more important than learning how to potentially save lives. Don't ya know?
+Memphis Spotter hahaha true
Memphis Spotter thats a good point, value x is more important than a life.
My cousin had a seizure like this, but we don't know if she's epileptic or not. I was alone with her when it happened. It was one of the most terrifying things I've ever witnessed. Luckily I've had First Aid training so I could help her out while waiting for help. She's okay now, thankfully. And hopefully we'll find out what really happened, if it was an epileptic seizure or not.
Thanks for this video. I have a history of seizures, and now I can show my husband what to do when I have a seizure. :)
I just made a friend who has Epilepsy. This was very educating.
These kinds of videos are great to have here on UA-cam. :)
I used to work with a girl who has epilepsy (I didn't know at the time.), and one day she suddenly fell over right in front of me, and all I could really think to do was to catch her, so she wouldn't slam in to anything. It's a scary ass situation, when you have no idea what's going on. For all I knew she could be dying, but thankfully another person knew about her epilepsy, so no ambulance was called or anything.
RIP CAMERON 1999-2019😭😭😭😭
People need to understand epilepsy and know how to help
Great video! Only thing i missed is that you shouldn't put anything in their mouths. Some people still have the idea that it will protect their tongue or teeth, but putting anyting in the mouth causes a greater hazard than the seizure itself
MissRubberDukkie Well said friend.
my mom had a seizure last week friday, it was the 1st time I've seen it, but i knew she started getting them. this was the 4th one she had and the worst we took her to the hospital for cat scans and mri scans (good news shes okay) but her seizure went on for quite some time 30 - 45min. after getting the physical seizure where her eyes rolled back and muscle spasms, she started acting very strange, almost child-like. not knowing anyone around her but knows familiar faces, she came back after 15min
It happened in school today. My teacher was teaching us when she suddenly felt unwell and started seizing. It was terrifying!! One of my friends caught her and we rushed to call the medical staff of the school. Many of us hadn't seen anything as such till today so ppl were scared stiff
Rip Cameron 1999-2019 💛😩
I wish who ever was with him knew this... who knows maybe he would have survived 😭💔... Cam gives lessons with everything he does so I think what we should learn from the cause of his death is to be prepared for anything... thanks for the lesson Cam... RIP😭💔
Only if the parents new they could have saved his life 😭😭
R.I.P.
Well I have fucking seizures. It's nobody's fault it just happens and I'm in the Hospital right fucking now
FloTV I hope you get better
This is really good and accurate, with the exception of "zed" waking up after the seizure. I have seen footage of myself having a seizure and coming round from the fit follows a lot of shock. Others i have seen, people are in so much shock they may wake up and begin screaming, or similar. Other than that this is great!
First seizure I had, I woke up petrified. I thought there was a group of people outside my apartment that wanted to beat me up. My husband took me to the hospital cuz I got a concussion and I FREAKED out cuz I thought the imaginary mob was gonna kill us. The last seizure I had, it took me 2 hours to come back to normal. I guess I had the mind set of a child. This shit is fuckin scary.
This happened to me when I was in grade 10 in the middle of my classroom. It was so embarrassing
why don't they teach this shit in high school
I agree, First Aid should be taught in schools!
It should be taught in Jr. High in my opinion and then also be available later in high school.
Epilepsy Hackney
Well there's classes on stuff like that, but they don't teach first aid, which sucks.
totally agree
Awestruck dunno
Thank you for your valuable and useful information. I'm working as a security officer and I need that information in my job. Thanks again 🙏

A friend of mine had a seizure yesterday, and we all got so scared and shocked. Thanks for making this vid
Thank-you for posting this vid. I have just been diagnosed with Epilepsy and this vid will help my ten year old in knowing what to do and to reassure her
My friend had this. Unfortunately, she died from a condition called SUDEP. Sucks, but at least I know she's not suffering anymore.
really sorry to hear this

Thanks ☺
She's in a better place
Laura Wilson yeah :) stay strong :)

Thanks, I'll try :)
Laura Rodriguez keep smiling ☺️
Very helpful to know in case of emergency.
THis happen to my familiy, i got my brothher who is a high school student diagnosied as an autisim. Later he is having a seizure while he was sleeping before the morning rise, it happens two or more times.
thank you!! I'm about to hang out with a friend with epilepsy and this helped a lot with basic care :3 i thought they were life threatening so im glad i know theyre not like that anymore
My sister just had a seizure. Thanks for the help.
In Turkey it's also 112. But also if you dial 911 it redirects to it too. Cuz for at least 20-30 years we have been hardly in influence of Usa with holywood movies so even I dialed 911 with panic on my wife's first seisure. Thank god they have redirected it.
My favorite video to show my friends
Excellent information. Good tips to remember.
we were taught to check for breathing first, before turning a person onto their side (bc if they stop breathing - although it's unlikely - you'd need to move onto cpr), but otherwise an excellent video!
We recently found out my sister has epilepsy and i do my bit to help by driving her around and taking her to hospital (when needed) and this video helped alot thanks :)
My partner has epilepsy thankfully he’s on medication to control it so hardly ever has seizures. In nearly 2 years of living near him he’s only had one mild seizure which was during a gym class we were both in. He felt it coming on so went out of the class I assumed he’d gone toilet so stayed in the class. After about half hour someone called me out of the class to tell me he’d had a mild seizure. He was ok just bit shook up so I took him home and stayed with him a bit. Thankfully it seems it was a one off seizure as it hasn’t happened since, it put my mind at rest a bit tho now I know more what to expect if I see him have seizure ever.
I had a seizure and my grandma didn't know what to do thank you for showing her how to do it
Luckily the man had a jumper round his waist
When you have a seizure it looks like your being tazed
My little cousin (second cousin) died from this condition called SUDEP for 10 months ago. His mother who was my cousin also passed away three months ago...It's though, but at least they aren't suffering anymore from this illness.
In highschool in my softmore and Jr year I suffered from seizures and black outs a lot. Now I am seizure free and this was 30 plus years ago
This was uploaded on my 2nd birthday!
I was diagnosed epileptic a while ago, and my MRI was clean because I didn't have any tumours, but on the EEG I had abnormal waves. That test is the one where they conect stuff to your head, put some flashing lights in front you and ask you to breath fast. You should really go to the doctor again, whether or not you have epilepsy, it's better to get all the tests possible, and if you were misdiagnosed you should follow the instrucitons to quitting the medicine.
Tysm today on the my bus a girl had a seizure and everyone started panicking not knowing what to do till the ambulance arrived including the driver and now I feel better that I do
When I went to henshaws in yorkshire a friend had a tonic clonic seizure. As I have epilepsy I knew what to do as I have tonic clonic seizure too so my first job was to move things out of his way so he didn't hurt himself more then I said you'll be ok your having one of your seizures then get a member of staff. Then I went back to sit with him til staff came and reassured him even though he couldn't hear.
R.i.p Cameron Boyce ❤️❤️I love u 1999-2019 too young 😭😭😭
We were in a field trip to the fair but at the way to school this student had a seizure lets put him daver. Daver had the seizure in the bus and speting foam but im glad he's alive
Thanks!
I haven't had that test. I think i'll go back to the doctors and ask for it even though the medication i'm on is helping... Thank you. (:
nicely done.
she called an ambulance service for me💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thanks for this
This just happened to my brother. I’ve never been so scared
If they are having violent convulsions don't try to restrain or turn on side until they slow down and it is safe for the first aider to do so. This was not violent convulsions so he could have been turned on his side to allow for drainage and to keep the airway open.
Carol Merten Oh so you’d rather leave us on our back to choke on saliva. Since my comment about waiting til the seizure is over I’ve been told you should put us in the recovery position during the seizure.
@danielledewitt1 I am with the epilepsy foundation. If it's a tonic clonic or grand mal convulsion, as the seizure is slowing down u turn on the side. If u are not safe, u can't help anything. Ideally can catch the person as they're falling and lower them to their side if possible
very good movie video for first aid training.
Me toO. Having this kind of disease. Epilepsy.. i just feel it since i was a child, but i never been attack. When after giving birth of my first son , i now experience this. Since. Last year on September 2013. So sad, but i know God has a purpose why He gave me this illness. :)
Nice one guys.
I'm not sure if this is worth noting or if I'm wrong, but after you tilt the person's head back, open their mouth and make sure they did not vomit. If there is vomit, remove it to prevent them from choking.
You need to check to see if they are breathing for no more then 10 seconds and check for a pulse. If they aren't breathing, they may have gone into cardiac arrest (their heart stops beating.) In this case you need to CALL for medical assistance and give CPR until you see signs of breathing/life, until your tired or the medics arrive. Once they start breathing but are unconcious, keep their airway open.
That was a great video never had one

I-
My family say that when I was really young I used to have this, but I don't remember having them at all :\
I recently met some who has had epileptic seizures recently and i think one important pice of info to add is that after they are done the person heaving the seizure will most likely become confused and at times violent
So sad Cameron boyce dies 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@Rasheda Newman what does smh mean??
Gacha Sam shaking my head

Ok but the fact this actually has ads on it
Still, really helpful video
This happened at school three times to my friend I was so scared but I knew what to do he looked also real scary
I found out that my brother had it so this really helped
I have a history of seizures the doctor diagnose me with epilepsy seizures when i went to the doctor when I was nine years old i had my first seizure.
yes....every country has a different emergency dial no. like here in the philippines, its 117
SHOULD be taught in school, to students and teachers! My daughter use to have an aura that would last about 2 minutes. enough time to get to the teacher and let them know..after I talked to all of her teachers about this.one sent her out in the hall BY HERSELF to see the nurse. She found another student there to get the nurse and laid on her side and had a seizure in the hall alone. She said when she woke up a teacher she didn't know asked her what the hell was she doing laying in the floor
I saw a guy have a seizure today- it kids scared me, it was the first time I've seen one.
UA-cam decided to put ads before this video, potentially endangering the lives of many people. I should be appalled, but I’m honestly not surprised.
Great video :-)
This happened yesterday at my school I've never witnessed this before and I was very scared and worried for them we called 911 because we didn't know what else to do so this video helped a lot they are ok now but I watched this just in case it happens again
@@opalescentmica ok thank you so much!
this video helped me so much. i know someone who has this and one day when we were at lunch she had seemed like she dropped something and then she just fell to the ground and started shakeing. i knew that she had epolepsi but i didnt know what to do. this was in middle school and i felt so guilty that i didnt know what to do. she is allright after that seasure however has frequent ones all the time. none have happened at achool so far. but if im near i know how to help. me n her r bffs.
It is a very good video in my opinion. i've seen a few now but non really stage it just use a random dummy. I think this would make it more realistic and easier to get then when shown with a dummy. But i think most people would panic and have no idea what to do even if they knew anything about it. I had my first seizure at school a few weeks back. I don't have epilepty it is something they don't know much of. But according to the teacher my friends simply freaked out. I don't blame them i get it.
When the guy started to move his plants, I thought he was going to prevent them from breaking them :)
He was just listening to IAMDDB - Shade
This happened to me today at school
The only thing that he did wrong was the way he did the recovery position. Usually it's best to turn the casualty away from you in case something was to happen like if he needed to clear the airway, but everything else was fine.
First thing to do in a situation like this is make sure the daffodils are ok and safely out of harms way,
I thank you for doing a video about this I too do info videos on this topic and I have seizures I feel it is important to share as much as we can to people so they will know what to do have a great day Blessed Be )O(
rainbowpagan2 if you have seizures then you may have epilspy
You should have an EEG done, that way they can tell where the seizure originates from and how best to treat it. My daughter has Epilepsy.....once in a while when her meds need adjusted, she'll have a breakthrough seizure...they've been everything from just a small face tic and she can't talk to Grand Mal....most of the time she has an aura and knows it's coming. When we did the EEG they told us that she has spikes everywhere, but the meds usually control it. If you can get a 24 hour EEG.
Is there some cases where when they're having a seizure, you put them on their side and not after?
You should get and EEG, as far as I know MRI's are done to dismiss the possibility of a tumor.
My daughter has slight seizure seens she was lil, but this weekend was not slight one , she fall really hard and hit her eye on the speaker and flop like a fish she has never done that before, what kind is that?
I have this kind of disease. Epilepsy . Since i was a child, i already felt it. But it only attack when i already giving birth with my first son. So sad. But still i'm strong coz God gave me this for such reason. :)
+Mellit Amorganda What do you think the reason is why God would give this to someone?
so one of my family members has epilepsy and sometimes has VIOLENT seizures and when they get out of it they start occasionally screaming and I've been dealing with this since a young age and still is and i need advice on how to calm them down. Thx :)
my friend tyron had a seizure loads if times
If tonic clonic seizures with the victim biting own tongue, do this can be applied?
... to call an ambulance:
- If they don't wake up after several minutes
- If they're not breathing
- If it's a stranger and you don't know if seizures are normal for them
- If they injure themselves
- If it's their first seizure
So: better always call an ambulance to be sure.
What if it’s 40° in Australia and you don’t have a jumper?
Checking that they're breathing is well and good, but what if you find they're not? Mouth to mouth?
I had an MRI scan done and that came back as okay. Nobody mentioned anything to me about an EEG. They just said i'm epileptic and gave me medication. It's like they couldn't get rid of me fast enough the way they did it. Nobody came over and explained to me what kind of seizures I have or anything. I've had to try and work it out for myself with the help of my boyfriend. I have different types of seizures. But i've bascially been left to get on with it myself. :(
Wow first proper look at this stuff :(
it is. in my school anyway.

@KwlEnn 999 is in england
I was diagnosed as epileptic yesterday and have been given medication. Has anybody got any advice for me as i'm really worried about it. They also want to give me an MRI scan to make sure nothing else is going on. I just need some advice because it's really scaring me! :(
Awesome to share, but perhaps the Red Cross may add looking for injuries, especially cranial from an unseen collapse? This epileptic fell from stairs to a concrete pavement. Checking for speech/cognitive awareness also might be considered. Some seizures
occur from brain tumors, previous illness, etc. All seizures can't be generalized into one.
That’s the same kid who was in the stroke video
i also have this problem now when ever i feel like this i just lay down r sleep...... can tell me anyone the proper treatment plz....... i will b very thank ful
