- Sonic Movie 3 is right around the corner and fans have been left waiting to see the next Sonic film in action for a while, but that wait may be coming to an end. While nothing super concrete has popped up, Twitter user Cineunfold, who’s shared a few correct tidbits about films such as Deadpool & Wolverine in the past, has shared that they’ve heard theaters already have their hands on the unreleased trailer. While nothing is definitive, fans can only hope that where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Regardless, we should be seeing something soon, with the film hitting theaters in December of this year. For my thoughts, reactions, and more, watch this video today!

Hey, if we got the dumpster fire trailer that is Mufasa (no offense), then we’re definitely getting a Sonic 3 trailer. Now would be the perfect time for Paramount to gain tons of positive traction. Most people are saying Sonic 3 will win and are hyping it up more than Mufasa. Even people who aren’t Sonic fans are praising Sonic 3 to win that day! You know that’s saying a lot for Disney’s standards as it is!

Unfortunately, It is seeming less and less likely that Amy or Rouge will be in Sonic 3. I mean, I will stay optimistic because maybe at least one of them will be (possibly in the end cutscene) in the film. What do you guys think? Also, I will be very hyped if we get a trailer this week, but it may be unlikely.
If they don’t appear in the third movie hopefully they appear in future movies since Paramount plans to make a Sonic cinematic universe
I think this would be a good a movie to introduce them into the universe as any. Rouge has a long standing partnership with Shadow and they both worked for G.U.N so she could definitely benefit from being in the film. And Amy Rose was the one person who could talk Shadow down from committing mass crimes because she reminded him of Maria.

Big is pushing the limits. Silver would definitely be a good post credits scene.

Disclaimer: I got this info on a twitter post on discord that supposedly a teaser trailer has been uploaded to paramount pictures, however the trailer is supposedly marked private, meaning we can't see it. I don't know if this is true or not but nonetheless I am very excited for the movie
If a future Sonic Movie ever had Rouge the Bat in it, I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't cast Justina Valentine as her. I feel like she'd fit Rouge so well! She's got sass, and is strong willed.

We’re not going to be getting Amy and Rouge. I want it just as much as everyone else but there is no way they can cram a character as complex as Shadow and explore his motivations as well as incorporate both let alone one of them. Tails was shafted enough as it is in the second movie and he was confirmed to be in it from the start. If at least Amy is in the movie, I will be overjoyed, but considering the fallout of Knuckles, I don’t want anyone to get their hopes up.
I don't think it's that difficult to include all of them. Tails got shafted because they wanted to shaft him not because they couldn't do more with him while having Knuckles in the movie. It's all just writing and pacing, they could make Shadow, Rouge and Amy work if they really wanted to.
@@abivalentin8331Not really, when something is saturated one will only stand out, Shadow is the main focus here, not for nothing did they bring in Keanu Reeves to voice him, if Rouge and Amy appear they will be greatly overshadowed by Shadow, not to mention the return of Jim Carrey as Dr Robotnik, the human characters, Gun, Team Sonic, it's very difficult to handle so many characters, especially when they are CGI characters. Remember when in the Amazing Spiderman 2 they tried to put 3 villains, but it went wrong?
@@Xenox02-vu9rq I don't know, I think the inclusion of Rouge and Amy would only enhance the movie's characters and story not get overshadowed by Shadow, G.U.N., Team Sonic and Dr. Eggman. Amazing Spider-Man's problem was that they had 3 villains who needed much more than they got while on the Sonic side of things, Amy and Rouge don't need so much setup. Amy's story could be similar to Tails where she sees Sonic saving the day and instead of being inspired by him like Tails, she falls in love with him but not in a creepy obsessive way like she used to be. And Rouge could just be an intergalactic treasure hunter who's on the lookout for the Chaos Emeralds/Master Emerald but instead finds something even more precious, a friendship with The Ultimate Lifeform: Shadow.
And they said they were taking a lot from SA2
I mean Godzilla x Kong released the same day as Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire so they could both release the same day
Considering Paramount admitted their hesitancy with Rouge given her very ‘eye catching’ nature, I can understand a lack of her inclusion, but I’m really hoping for Amy to be in Sonic 3 at least. The idea of her being new to Earth and meeting both Sonic and Shadow who represents the good and bad the world has to offer sounds interesting and would make a speech to convince Shadow to help the planet from her hold even more weight. Although I will admit that I can see this version of Sonic making that speech himself since we’ve seen him live through such experiences with the past two films. Either way, I want Amy to appear since after Shadow she’s the one I’m most excited to see be brought into the series, followed by Omega in a future SCU installment.

I don't think either one will be delayed because if that was the case they've would've delayed the 2nd movie because it came out the same day as Fantastic Beats 3 also Puss in Boots the Last Wish came out the same day as Avatar the Way of Water so for the love of god stop assuming that either Sonic or Lion King will be delayed because I think it's clear that Paramount is not interested in delaying the film stop acting like you know how this works because you don't.

You know what would be awesome? If they had a whole 3D billboard of Sonic movie 3 just like what they did with the Mario movie in New York and also they did that with Sonic Prime.
Here's the thing about the trailer. I think it is going to be very soon, probably within a week or two at the most. But I would not be surprised if it was just the CinemaCon teaser with maybe one additional clip.
This isn't based on anything anyone's told me. I just can't see them releasing a full length trailer for the movie until post-production is nearly complete. And I doubt that's going to happen until maybe June or July. This is another situation where you need to know a bit about film development in order to see what I mean. You can't show a trailer for something that's not there.
That said, I know people don't want to hear what I'm about to say, but we have to be realistic. Knuckles was revealed in the trailer for Sonic 2, so it stands to reason that if Amy or Rouge are in the third movie, they would be revealed in the full trailer for Sonic 3. If they are not in the full length trailer for Sonic 3, then that probably means they aren't in the movie (or if one of them is, it's in a mid-credits scene only).

I read that Paramount usually does trailers on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I'll say next Tuesday May 7. Far enough removed from Knuckles and early enough to be attached to 'IF'.

Just because Amy and Rouge aren't in the trailer, that doesn't mean they aren't anywhere in the movie. But if they aren't in the movie, that's understandable since there's already a lot going on in the movie to begin with when it comes to Robotnik coming back and Shadow going against Sonic. That's already enough plot for a 2 hour-long film. I say give each character their due time. Don't squish them all into the same movie just for fanservice, that's insane. I mean it's ok for comic book movies, but they had build up to those big crossover moments (at least on the Marvel side)
It's strange to me that they would keep Amy such a secret, knowing that she is the main female character in the franchise, if in case Amy appears, although if she does, she will have a limited role.
I hope the trailer releases this week and I hope Amy, Rouge, Silver and Blaze are in it.

I’m really locking in June for the trailer. As continually disappointed as I get by Sonic Central each year, they have a lot that they can reveal this year with it being the Year of Shadow, which could very well mean a trailer with that slate of other announcements. If not June, August. The first trailers for the first two Sonic movies released four months before their respective release dates, so there’s a chance that this may not be an exception.

Definitely not this week, but later during May. In a few weeks, IF (Imaginary Friend), will be releasing in theaters and since that is a Paramount film, it would make sense to showcase a trailer around that time. Movie studios will release trailers for upcoming movies during the week of an upcoming release.
