- I'm decluttering and downsizing my vast makeup collection. Today I'm tackling my single eyeshadow drawers and getting rid of so much stuff! How I sort, declutter and organize my beauty products.

I was going to suggest grouping the same colors that you have left just for a comparison of purples blues and greens and such - just to see if any are too similar and can compete to be tossed! Then afterwards go back to the brand organization system you're using.
+Livingdeadgirll Yeah that is another good idea, I will see if I can reduce further, only it gets to be very time consuming that way. I think I want to work on the bulk first, and then refine even further down the line. :)

Oh so funny I just did 2 lipstick declutters myself. I love watching declutter videos I find them so relaxing for some reason. I love that to actually go through everything and give your thoughts.

Like it was frustrating to me because I felt like you could've gotten rid of so many more. Like the things that you said you don't even use you shouldn't keep. You kept a ton of purples I feel and kept a blue when you said you don't even use them idk
So far you're the first person I see who does a declutter video and actually gets rid of a ton of products! Awesome job!

It is amazing what you are doing! Being beauty blogger you show that just collecting stuff is not important, it is important to use what you have, not just have it.
I love how rigorously you declutter :) I'm always fighting with myself in my head ("naaah, maybe i'll use/wear it again ... it's so pretty ... i can't get rid of it") and you're just like "ok, let's be honest, i haven't used it in ages, so i'll get rid of it" :D love it!

There's something strangely satisfying about watching someone declutter their makeup -- also this is really nice to get an idea of different brands that did/didn't work for you and why, so thank you for explaining why you get rid of the ones you do!

I just went through and decluttered my single eyeshadows and some blushes. It's such a hard process getting rid of stuff but feels so good seeing how much space you have afterward!

i'm moving right now and got rid of so much of my makeup beforehand and it felt so good! i actually filmed some of the process and now i really want to downsize my collection even more once i sort everything and put it back in my drawers! :)

Something about the noises those containers make really relax me, dunno who, I´m a container noise freak!

It might be ASMR. Do you a weird tingly sensation sometimes? Look up what ASMR means, and there are tons of ASMR UA-camrs around. It might be weird at first but it helps you relax and fall asleep. I'd recommend Fairy Char and her makeup vanity walkthrough video.

CuteSimpleStuff I think there are ASMR videos without any talking in general, but most unboxings without voiceovers have great container/wrapping noise.
Impressive how much we keep, but never use.

I got rid of 30+ single eyeshadows because I don't use them. I prefer palletes. but I just turned around and bought 64 single hot pots from coastal scents. ugh. makeup addiction problems.

I took my little MAC pigment jars and pressed them all into pans and put them in a palette. It worked so well and I actually use them now!

lol I feel like if u go to her house and you look at her makeup and want something, she is just gonna say "okay" and pass it to you. Julia gets rid of them so easily lol. I'd want to keep everything and customize storage so they are on display 😂😂

Hey there Julia, It does feel good to get rid of these things that you don't use. I know with mine and believe me I, by no means, have anything like what you have or the cost of items that you have but I have found myself from year to year getting rid of stuff. funny I decluttered today too. all I'm left with is NYX, Quo and essence. my favs :)
Depot and condense. I find I use ones like the Loreal Infallibles, or pigments, more if I put them in a pencil box or similar and can take them out and keep them in my makeup tray for a while to play with instead of having them buried in a drawer. I'm a lot more likely to grab that box than a handful of little shadows. I also never keep singles unless they are very unique, or my HG basic colors which live in my makeup tray full time... but these days there are so many nice matte palettes I just keep one of those out instead.

Oh man, so many things! Decluttering is good though. I recently got rid of a bunch of things, but not as much as you. I should probably go back through and get rid of some more. I am on a semi-spend freeze. I'll only buy makeup if I need something. Not easy!!!
I need to do this! I've tried so many times, but when I touch the shadow it calls me back! LOL! I have such an attachment to makeup. I don't know why, but I find it very difficult to part ways with it.

Ah now that's what I call spring cleaning. I loove throwing stuff out and donating it to someone who can really use it.
Yeah that's an issue you run into when you get so many free products sent to you, you end up not even using like 90% of it and it just takes up much needed space.

I wish L'Oreal Chameleon eyeshadows were available in Canada, they look so pretty and unique !
How long can you continue using eyeshadows?
FYI Mac's Toledo pallette sucked along with their ombré blush that you have to scrape off and apply to your cheeks!
Have you tried glitter glue? I think Elf has one and there's another brand NYX maybe. Use it as a base and it prolongs the glitter shadows and pigments. I've seen @kathleenlights and @lauralee use them in videos. Great video.
