I came across your page while searching for Real Betis highlights and was immediately impressed. I have been looking for a bag to carry my clothes to Betis games, and your review convinced me that this is the perfect choice. I have owned numerous bags over the years, but this one stands out because it doesn’t fall forward when a flat bag is placed inside it 2:27. Your review has been so influential that it has made me reconsider my plans; I am now contemplating having three children. Thank you!
Nice review. I do own this bag, and I can solve one of the little things you didn't like about this bag - the key loop placement. It is removable, and there is another, identical little orange loop in the large front stash pocket (top right, a little out of sight). And yes, that is where I keep it. There is a 3rd loop in the main compartment on the left of the tablet sleeve, it is beige though, and that one would not be quick access.
thanks man :) i've actually been meaning to trim that part out of the vid (which I just did)! Since posting, I've had a couple others that pointed out the same thing you did and i'm glad it was such a simple fix. the bag is now only one nitpick away from perfection (standing on it's own) 😎
love to hear it. both are fantastic options but the slimmer profile of the Max EDC is a big plus. I plan on doing a comparison vid of the two soon - stay tuned.
The CTB26 still doesn't have the strap keeper in 2024 🤦 this thing makes me so upset. I'm a 5'7 man, walking with long belt around my not-so-tall body frame makes me looks like a turtle. So I was looking for a fresh 26L bag alternative (because of the bag obsession) as a companion for weekends, gym and maybe other things (I already use Alpaka Metro Backpack as EDC for work) and this Max EDC looks incredible.
Hehe yes - I totally feel you on the CTB26… not as flattering for us not-so-talls (and the lack of strap keepers is a bit puzzling). The Max EDC is my fav 26L bag, def recommend it.
I love the CTB26 organisation. It has just enough. It's sort of comfortable but more so when carrying it high on the back. Unfortunately then the straps are so tight it's hard to get your arms in or out. And I feel it's a bit big for EDC. So I'm in t he market for more comfort and slimmer profile. Is the Max EDC the one? Or are there others better suited? Ideally capacity is closer to 21L....
I absolutely love the CTB 20/26 but comfort was the dealbreaker for me (unfortunately). Combination of having to adjust straps to a very specific tightness to make it more comfortable and I also experienced the classic lower back digging. For me, the Max EDC is the most comfortable bag I've ever owned. I don't have to worry about how tight the straps are... it's just comfortable no matter what. Although it's a 26L, it has a significantly slimmer profile than the CTB26 (7.5in depth vs 11.5in). The Max EDC fits comfortably under an airplane seat whereas the CTB it can be a tight fit (depending on the plane). In terms of organization, both are fantastic. The Max EDC slightly edges it for me for 2 reasons: 1. Stretch mesh for smaller pockets keeps your stuff more snugly secured 2. The front stash pocket on the Max EDC has more volume so it's a great place to fit larger things and keeping it segmented from the main compartment. I hope they incorporate a few of the things I love in the Max EDC to a future iteration of their Daily Plus for a more compact/EDC friendly size.
@@nitpacker Tnx for your elaborate response. And I'm glad to see that the Max EDC addresses the shortcomings of the CTB26. Makes it a viable alternative!
absolutely. the front stash pocket is super spacious and it's a great place to throw your shoes.. my sneakers (US sz 9) fit very comfortably there. you have plenty of additional space in the main compartment for clothes/towels/etc and you can keep your shoes separate.

Great review, thank you! Also, what’s that jean overshirt you’re wearing?
yeahh :( although I will say, i'm all about the blue now - has def grown on me quite a bit. plus... you get a nice, cream interior compared to the same old standard gray that comes with the black one.
CTB26 is a travel bag so its depth is gonna be deeper. I don't understand why ppl use it as an EDC bag and then complain that the bag is too big. I am 5 foot 7 and the CTB26 is the biggest bag i can carry on my back so thats a reference point for me. I only strap up the CTB26 for travel.
totally get that - the CTB26 isn't an ideal EDC bag by any means. with that being said, the point I was trying to make is that for people that only want one bag for both EDC and travel... the slimmer profile of the Max EDC makes it a more viable hybrid option than the CTB26.
@nitpacker my hybrid option currently is the Goruck Bullet DC 18L and it might be the only Goruck bag I'll ever own. Their pricing is ridiculous. I took the Bullet with me on my last trip to Indonesia and it was amazing.
that's actually my biggest nitpick with the bag... I talk about it at 19:43 but the TL;DR is it does stand up (when packed right) but it doesn't stay upright. It naturally leans forward.
Thank you for featuring Max EDC bag in your review! It's great to see new reviewers on UA-cam. We're glad you chose our bag!
thank you! you guys rock - keep making delightful products 🤟
Can you please restock on December for the green and the black?
solid review mate, I’ve subbed, looking forward to seeing your channel grow!
Aaron - truly appreciate the support, good sir. Your vids have been fueling my bag obsession for years … 🤟
Finally have a real backpack reviewer. Keeping it real!
Hahaa I don’t know about that but we’ll take it ⚡️

Cool video. Happy to see a new face in the bag enthusiast world.
Bo - I've consumed too much of your content over the years.. your vids are some of my absolute favorites. Your comment made my day, cheers ⚡
The keyclip is removable, there are red loops in most of the pockets, the keyclip just loops round these
Wow. You are absolutely correct. You’re a gentleman and scholar, thanks for the call out. It was driving me a bit mad.
I was thinking the same thing. That’s the only one I wanna keep to.! killed it. I have such a better understanding about my bag now.
cheers!
Instant watch! Great review!
thank ya :)
Great bag. Thanks for the review!
Cool. Can’t wait to see what else you have to offer! Subbed
Appreciate the support - stay tuned ⚡️
Masterclass in bag reviewing.
You humble me, sir.
I was debating between this and the evergoods CTB bags. This really helped me decide to choose this one, thank you!

Do you think it makes a goof work/gym bag? Would need to pack shoes, gym clothes and a towel in there

Thankya - it’s a zanerobe acid washed shirt I’ve had for 10+ years…
You can move the key clip to other places. It's removable.
indeed - @AlexWatson-w5e was kind of enough to enlighten me as well. one less nitpick.
Black is always out of stock. I couldn't order that colour within a minute after it's release

Does is stand up? Even if you pack it right? Great video by the way man!

@nitpacker thank you! I actually saw you speak about that at the end lol. That's a huge deal for me as well!
I think this is a great backpack! I want one :)
@@Productivity-jc1sc currently traveling with it - such a gem
Can the framesheet be removed?
yep - removable. there's a zippered sleeve in the laptop compartment to access it.
15:38 in the vid shows it.
Quite honestly I think the music takes the focus off your voice and we miss some information.
good callout - thanks for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind for future vids
