I don't think the organization mishandled Berggren. I think fans have an unreasonably high expectation for prospects to jump into the lineup -- and remain a part of that lineup when they do. Berggren was decent last season. He didn't crack the lineup this season, for whatever reason, and was actually a liability in the two games he played since the deadline. I'm sorry, but there's only two ways to look at it. Either Berggren needs more time in Grand Rapids, or he needs a change of scenery.
As for Arizona... man oh man. The "Coyotes" name is beyond perfect for that franchise. No matter what happens, no matter how "over" people think it is for them over there, they somehow keep surviving. Just like real Coyotes. I really do hope all things go right for them, but if they do have to leave, you just know a team will be back in that market sooner or later.
Lalonde - “If Simon wasn’t 6’6” Gaudreau would have picked his pocket.” Yeah, that’s called using your attributes to your advantage coach..
Any thoughts on Berggren not breaking the lineup despite being called up?
Just Raymond's progression in leading an NHL team. The Larkin at practice video showed he is not ready.
2:45 It might have been different for people watching at home who actually felt compelled to watch, but I was at this game (I was the guy with the foam puck hat for any other patrons out there) and not only were a significant portion of the fans on their way out of the arena, but a significant portion of the ones who stayed had their backs turned to beg for t-shirts coming out of the commercial break. I had to lean around people just to see the faceoff lol.
I watched the 1st period and gave up😂...Even when I watched the youtube highlites the next day, I wasn't paying attention and suddenly I hear Mickey screaming with joy😅

Somehow, if we can delay their flights on the remainder of their road games, maybe the Wings will start on time. It worked against the Leafs earlier this season.
Washington with a bit of a gauntlet run the next couple of weeks. Hopefully teams that should beat them do win. Big game tonight against the Isles.
5 on 3 for losing a coaches challenge seems a bit extreme. I could see maybe a double minor and going 5 on 4 for 4 minutes instead of 5 on 3

I think Kane needs a little more respect, 100% we have not been playing well and that’s cause Husso is taking his sweet time recovering and Lyon is getting over worked for what he’s use to. But as for Kane we have to remember he did get hurt again this season for a few weeks, he’s played just over half of the games as the other players and he’s what 5-6 in points on the team??. We need to make sure we resign him this off season to a 2-3 year.
how many times this season have the wings had a pp, then when the other player just gets out of the box, we turn it over for a free breakaway........................holy hell thats just frustrating and easily fixable in a lot of cases

Gotta love Lalonde pointing out a "mistake" a rookie made in which he maintained possession over veterans like Petry making game breaking mistakes every single game. I think I'm personally done with Lalonde at this point. The whole "we weren't supposed to be here" narrative over the losing streak should come from podcasts like this, not from the head coach at a press conference. No wonder this team is playing uninspiring hockey right now.
