I own a dedicated 19" cabinet of this game with both Smash TV and Total Carnage game boards. Super fun and always a hit in my home arcade. I have videos of it on my channel if you're curious to see it.
I have to buy this collection now thanks for showing it. I have a couple other arcade collections as well as a super console x and none of those have the smash tv arcade version. Great game thanks
I really want to know what is in it for the guys with baseball bats. I mean, you apply for a job to take a baseball bat against a guy that, at the very least, has a gun. I don't care if they give me a aluminum bat, I'm applying somewhere else.
Regarding the music, it sounds like the percussion for the music is completely missing in this version (probably because of the poor emulation this collection suffers from unfortunately). I've played this game on a real cabinet before and I know the drums for the music goes crazy and is quite loud.
This game is an exception where I like the console version (snes) better. Mainly the music in snes one. There is a little less blood but at least there is blood. Wish we were friends I would totally play with you.
Love this game, but my experience is mostly with the NES version. I never played the arcade version, but it looks like some of the graphical elements are exactly like those in the game NARC (the score font, etc.).
I had friends that were addicted to the SNES version. I never got into it but have enjoyed a few indie games that control the same. I guess It is just the ascetics I didn't enjoy.
@@GamingTheSystems1 yeah, I like the play style but don't like the game show setting. I think it is because I saw running man when I was a kid and didn't care for it and I connected the two?
@@ForeverLacey09 I remember a arcade game where the stick was also a dial. I guess it couldn't have been this game because I think I only played the home console versions.
Yep, same guy as Robotron, Eugene Jarvis. Twinstick shooters are a great genre and homage is paid to them by Edmund McMillian with The Binding of Isaac, as well as Harry Krueger with Nex Machina, which eventually led to Returnal. There is a great movie with Harry Krueger and the Housemarque team about Nex Machina, which involved Eugene Jarvis called "The Name of the Game" , it really is a love letter to the genre -> ua-cam.com/video/wDBOQimdskk/v-deo.html Would love to see you play through any of those!
Midway Arcade Origins is one of my favorite compilations ever. So cool.
I love smash T V it's a brilliant way to pass sometime and it has that "just one more go" vibe. I love the channel btw.
The arcade version of Total Carnage is also awesome!
This is such a fun game. I'm glad you did a play thru video on it. Thank you for this video.
Howdy! Miss the arcades...

I'm enjoying these videos. Keep them up!
I did play this game in the arcades back in the day. I also played the SNES version. It's definitely a hard game, it's fun playing co opt.
They made a Smash TV movie - it’s called The Running Man.
I love your video titles haha! Keep it up!
This is one of those games that I can play anytime and have never really gotten tired of it.
Aaaah, another game that I too have in my collection. So, guess what, now I too need to play it. Haha.
It's unfortunate that there hasn't been a Midway compilation since 2012.

Time to put on the movie The Running Man.
I thought you were great as God in supernatural
I too loved Super Smash TV. The SNES was truly king, at that time.
One of my favorite game of all time!

I wonder how many people ate through their college savings playing this game.
Hey will you ever be doing fan requests for Games?
thats exclusive to his OnlyFans
MIDWAYYYY

This may sound strange, but playing the game feels like eating. You are consuming little "candies" all around the board.

Did the arcade have a dial to aim? That would be the best way to control aiming.
Twin sticks

@@exodous02 You're probably thinking of Ikari Warriors or Forgetten Worlds
