That looks amazing. I just had a contractor install those exact pavers but he compacted about 30-40% of the pavers using an unprotected plate compactor and did some serious damage to the pavers to the point I see the aggregate on a lot of them. I see none of that here. Awesome job. I’m jealous 🥲
Looks great! To clarify your over dig width should be equal to your base depth. If you have a 6" base then 6" extra width on both sides. If you have 12" base then you should be 12" extra wide on both sides. Different soil types require different base depths as well as it depends on your application. Heavy applications such as driveways should also have a deeper base layer. Sean I'm sure you know this; this is more for any viewers :)
Dude these are great videos. I’m looking to expand into some hardscaping and these are some of the best videos I’ve found. Would a mini skid be better on the lawn eventually?
Thank you very much! Its a great business to get into. A mini would be great, I know several crews that only use a mini for their installs. Thanks for watching!
I am starting a 30' walkway this week using the Eva Techo in Champlain Grey as well, the customer picked it out. They also want a 2-3 step system, do you have any videos of building some paver steps? thx
I notice you have some 4 way joints in your lay. Or 4 pavers meeting at the corners. Your block will look better if you eliminate those and keep everything fully interlocked. Common oversight.
an issue i've ran into with screeding is when I'm trying to keep a slope, my metal screed pipe doesnt flex to follow the slope. What do you recommend for this?
Your best bet is to lay your screed pipes down and fill in the low spots with more base. This will give your a more gradual slope. If you have a spot where the slope isn't gradual, use shorter pipes for that section. I keep a set of 4 footers on my truck. Have the end of the pipes end at sharpest point of the slope. Then re position the pipes just past the slope and screed in between. I hope this helps, Thanks for watching!
I’m not understanding how this is a 36 inch pathway? Trying to recreate a similar width with same materials and the pattern isn’t adding up? Looks more like 43+?
Yes, your correct it does work out closer to that. I just said "3 foot" in the video to make it easier to explain. You would just need to do one less block in your Eva pattern. If you take out one 8 3/4 block that puts you just under 36". If you take out the 4 3/8 block it will be a little over the 36". Good luck with your project
Is there a reason you use Techo Bloc over other products? Techo seems to be very expensive compared to other products in the space such as Belgard. I’m in the Denver area and TB runs about $10/sf and Belgard runs $6/sf. Do you see a significant difference in quality? Also wondering why you use Eva, which is rated for vehicles instead of maybe a TB Blue?
@@benlalor9453 I think Techo Bloc is a superior product. You'll find that cheaper pavers will fade faster and tend to chip easier. Eva is the most affordable paver techo Bloc sells that's why I use it. $10 a SQ ft is crazy high for Eva. I would check with another supply. If techo isn't big in your area. Check out unilock they are also a very good product.
Im assuming that's crushed concrete. From my understanding it's a little cheaper and can be harder to work with but as long as you compact it properly the outcome is the same. Thanks for watching!
This is the best how-to paver video! I learned so much and it was easy to follow along. Thanks for sharing this! 💯
Your welcome, I'm glad it helped and Thanks for watching

Thank you and sorry to hear that. I've seen other contractors do the same thing. Usually you just get scuff marks on the pavers. Thanks for watching!

Yes very good point and thank you for bringing it up. It's easy to forget some details that come second nature to us. Thanks for watching 👍
Underrated channel.. hope your channel does well good content
Thank you very much, I really appreciate all your kind comments.
Looks amazing. I want this same style in my yard.
Great explainer video! Nice work!
Thank you very much!
Great video, thought of a question. What do you mean from 1:08-1:15? If you could elaborate that would be so helpful
doing that yourself is impressive requires a lot of hard work
Thank you, it's very tough sometimes. I try to take on jobs that I can use the machines as much as possible. Thanks for watching
You do great work

Great job buddy!
Do you have a video on how to slope the patio for the pitch ? Also at what point do you check for slope
I didn't do a video specifically on slope yet. But you set your slope when your laying your base. Hope this helps
Would this process be the same for a driveway

I dont at the moment but I will get one this spring for sure. Good luck with your project!
Is there a list of materials you can provide? Types of sand etc
How many days would this job take you? Thanks for your great videos!
Thank you, This took me 4 days by myself.

I running my on business just checking how much you charge for sq ft
Generally about $22
Fence should go first or last? 🤔
great video!!
Nice job!
Thank you
Great video
Thank you very much!
What are you using for equipment ?
I have a bobcat t66 and Kubota kx91. Thanks for watching
What type of sand ? Masonry or doesn’t matter ??
It has to be concrete sand. Concrete sand has small rocks in it, which helps with stability.
Hey Sean, how deep is the sand base?
1" it can be a little less but you don't want any more then that.

Nice job. What techo bloc paver is it.
Thank you, it's Eva with a Villagio border. Both in Champlain Gray
@@srmcontracting thanks.
How much did they charge you per square foot?
About $22
@@srmcontracting is that just labor or with material?
What is the price? Thanks.
Is there a way to get in touch with you direct email perhaps? Own an excavation company looking to expand into Masonary
We use road base for the base what’s the difference?

@@srmcontracting thank you for replying back boss.
Where you but it
Who the hell done the gate 😂😂
Good Job but totally overbuilt. This is not a main street where so much stone, and etc is needed. Too much customer money spent here !
