Terraforming is the process of changing another planet into a place where humans and life from Earth can exist. However is it right to destroy an environment which has taken billions of years to develop? To fill amazing craters and dramatic canyons with water, and to erode astounding mountains and incredible cathedrals of stone with rain and the action of living things? This video discusses the debate which has been going on for over 50 years into whether a lifeless abiotic environment has greater value than the same place once life has been added.
