I've funnily enough seen people running mono black or gruul mana base 5 colour treasure ramp decks. They aren't very effective but people are trying gosh darnit.
That second match against Lier was amazing. Maybe even the first land destruction was important despite of then having a ton of lands for denying the blue for the bounce Lier/counter and denying the 8 for magma opus. What a game
This video made me realize just how much I love the high usage of Channel in this set. The fact that a huge number of cards in the deck can be used without actually casting just creates SO MUCH MORE interesting play vs the incredibly boring strategy of "well if I can counter everything important then I win!" Until now you occasionally saw "cannot be countered" or abilities here and there that worked from hand or graveyard, but it felt rare to have enough that it actually meant a counter deck would be forced to be proactive in any way. These Channel-heavy decks inspire dreams of a world where like 50% of all cards had 2 casting modes, and 90% of counters only worked on one of them. I don't mind the idea of countering key plays, I just want it to be less MONOTONOUS than "welp, you have a spell, I'ma counter it". (Yes there are type-specific counters but there's always plenty of general counters to support them.)
At 14:30, killing Thalia before combat saves two lives but plays into a potential second Thalia, which would prevent casting Fable of the Mirror-Breaker on curve.
I love the tanuki so much. As a 6/5 trampled, it is fine to cast in the late game once you've got a bunch of lands and maybe not much else going on, but early in the game, it lets you hold up interaction, like removal or a counter spell, while being able to ramp if you don't see anything worth interacting with. It's just like really nice.
Tried this deck at the alchemy all access event and are amazed! Sometimes its difficult to survive aggro, but the payoff is amazing. Usually people just conceded when u used Brilliant Resto!
I play a land destruction deck with Smashing Success and Waking the Trolls. Restoration has been a VITAL card for Waking the Trolls and its so hilarious when you literally destroy all your opponents lands and end up with 5 to 20 trolls at the end lol.
Cool build. I made a Naya version maybe 2 weeks ago that I have a lot of fun with, also running Glorious Sunrise as payoff and First Day of School since the Learn mechanic still lets you loot stuff to the graveyard if you want, and it lets you attack right away with with the trolls from Wake Up the Trolls with +1+1 counters, and they also get +1+1 trample from Glorious Sunrise. Pretty explosive stuff.
kami war, and the kiki jiki saga, at the same place!? those are the stars of my two favorite neo draft decks also i see you really like restoration because of that draft deck you played that was based around two restorations
Could be good, although the lack of early fixing can be problematic. We’re sometimes casting 6 and 7 mana cards with Treasures before World Tree is active. Haven’t run into any real mana issues so far, but part of that is also thanks to Treasures.
I had a match with somewhat similar deck like this today, they unfortunately flooded with land at first 5 turn ancout can't catch up to mono black discard deck
I've seen some decks using Spirit-Sister's Call instead of (or along with) Brilliant Restoration, is there any reason why BR is better for this deck even with the quadruple white cost?
I think main point of difference is overall gameplan - SSC is more tempo-grindy, you need to add much more lowcost enchantments, especially saga-creatures ones like Modern Age etc. and I think its want a much more discard-looting mechanics. BR is more OTK-controlly, IMHO, yeah, you want to fill graveyard with more stuff, but you dont exile it when you replay it (like SSC do with all non-Kamigawa enchantments. If I remember correctly they are exeption because they lose "exile on destroy" part of SSR revival because of their self-exile), so every next BR is more impactfull and you probably fine to just have 3-4 highcost ench/art in graveyard to me enough, vile with SSR you need to refill it faster. So yeah, they could be used together, but their plan is slightly differ from one and another, SSR is more like a Red combo deck when it burn themself out to be efficient, while BR is more like Green that just play big and steady and then smack you with big numbers and value.
I wish the meta was this creative! Well done with this deck! Instead we get mono white and green aggro, Naya Enchantments, Izzet control or any control with blue mana, etc. I get that people want to win, but this is so boring at higher ranks.
The wildcard economy is broken. People dont have the ability to build creative decks without dropping tons of money into arena. It's not that i love mono green; i just need to win to get daily gold to someday build a deck i actually like.
@@nickritchie2154 Yeah I agree that the economy could be a lot better. If you only want gold and wildcards, you can win fast with meme decks too in the play queue. Ranking up is harder I agree, but making a competitive deck free to play is easy. 4 wins a day and some patience and you'll have a tier 1 deck in a month or so.
Yes monoblacks deck is I want to build around soul sisters this deck is huh that soul sisters. This deck looks at that one and goes what if I just do all that at once instead
13:34 not that it matters, but kinda weird that mtg arena stacks waking the trolls wrong, i expected them to make it so the land put on the battlefield first and then the trolls are made.
Damn you really didn't play well in this video, that's unusual. You kept playing into counterspells for no reason when you had full board control (meaning if the opponent didn't use his mana next turn, you would slowly win). You still won but holy hell, you could've dumpstered them by just waiting for them to tap out.
Building a deck with a standard manabase to cast a quadruple white spell and a five color spell is lunacy but you made it work!
Treasures go a long way!
I've funnily enough seen people running mono black or gruul mana base 5 colour treasure ramp decks. They aren't very effective but people are trying gosh darnit.
Not really that hard thanks to MID and VOW duals... Heck, I see people draft NEO 5c decks more easily than I do with 2 colours :/
it''s not that hard, mine has The World Tree in it and it never let's me down,
I've never felt quite as much joy as seeing you destroy your opponent's blue mana with waking the trolls in the lier game. Great deck LVD, keep it up!
Spicy is an understatement. What a deck list excited to see how this plays out.
That second match against Lier was amazing. Maybe even the first land destruction was important despite of then having a ton of lands for denying the blue for the bounce Lier/counter and denying the 8 for magma opus. What a game
Something so beautiful about crushing a Lier deck...
That was the first game tho
That Doomskar topdeck at 17:00 was the definition of "Clutch"!
Awesome video as always

That MVC at the end was the best one so far! 😂
I let you know that the best part of your videos is when "the opponent explodes"
Classy as always.
That’s when I explode 🥵
And that first game was amazingly played! Gotta love stomping the control decks 🥰
29:23 if the opponent had used the werewolf's ability after that block the trample would be lethal luckily he missed that
At 14:30, killing Thalia before combat saves two lives but plays into a potential second Thalia, which would prevent casting Fable of the Mirror-Breaker on curve.
Yup, that’s the trade off. Although if they play a second Thalia they most likely have to play her off curve so that’s good for us.

Cool Keruga deck
Five color good stuff! The prophecies were true!

Luca, this deck is insane.....
....and I love it! Keep up the awesome work man 💕
Glad you enjoy it!

Sweet deck! Now i know where my Kami Wars are going!

Made it with Bindings, World Trees and Valakut Exploration and it's pretty fun
Very cool and unique deck! Nice build around brilliant restoration.
i love your deck names haha
LVD: "also it would to be good to get a red source..."
Deck: gotchu fam, anythin' else?
What is your secret?
First match felt like a 280LB heavyweight finally getting his hands on a 150LB dude scurrying away the whole fight lol.
17:00 What a top deck :D
Didnt we have a deck just like this a while ago? Couldnt find it though, maybe deja vu
It’s a shame Kami War never gets to attack
It is a little slow to get going but I’ve played some fun practice games where I got to copy it with Kiki Jiki to attack right away.
Match 1 is an epic battle!!
Always excited too see a new video
An inspired deck! Will have to try this one.
Why no World Tree? I hit Mythic last month with a similar deck and World Tree was awesome for mana fixing.

This deck will definitely improve with the return of Triomes in New Capena I think. You can even add Binding the Old Gods to fetch them out
Oh that was enjoyable to watch.
Brilliant deck!
It's a deck I've been playing for the last 3 weeks minus shigeki. And split shot sniper in place
Dang, this Deck looks nasty!
Yay new video!
Would you consider making an updated triskaedekaphile deck? Been trying to make an updated one
That was a beautiful match one. I genuinely hate the fading hope Lier combo.
I had a match with somewhat similar deck like this today, they unfortunately flooded with land at first 5 turn ancout can't catch up to mono black discard deck
Vic Vinegar is gonna make you buy a house, lol.
Brilliant! (but I am not sure I will try that at home :D)

There's a setting that lets you order those triggers yourself, like you would in paper magic.
@@RibusPQR i know, but i thought that arena would do it automaticly
