Green day was the beginning of an era of 90s punk rock. This came out when I was 16 and Green Day was a big part of my junior and senior year of high school. I was in the mosh pit for a Green Day concert in '98 where at the end they set the drums on fire and played a final song while the set burned. That was kind of the opposite of a safe space, lol.
Great song! Fact is: Their record "Dookie", from which this song is, is a must-have in every collection! As far as I remember it was released in 1994 and is one of the worldwide most sold albums ever (more than 20 million sales as far as I remember). A whole new era started back then ... with Green Day, The Offspring, etc. When I was young I've been to their concerts in Germany. We had a lot of fun! :-)
Green Day is God's favorite band. Their music speaks to two generations at the same time, and both are tired of the bullshit going on in the world. Green Day captures that feeling and amplifies it
GREN DAY IS MY FAVOURITE BAND OF ALL TIME AHHHHHHH I have SO many recommendations, American Idiot, Holiday, Jesus of Suburbia, At The Library, Welcome To Paradise, Minority, the list goes on and on, PLEASE do them again!!
Green Day and The Offspring are great bands and, by far, the best part of the 90's Punk-Rock "era"! Unfortunately the same issues they pointed to, all the way back in the early 90's, are somehow still relevant issues nowadays!
Great video! If you plan on doing greenday again then I'd recommend "Restless heart syndrome" by them. Preview: the song is about the medical system in our country and its destructive wake.
i had subscribed u when u had some 100s subs and u used to react to pentatonix.......now u crossed 160k....damn bro proud of u....well i used to also give u song requests back then and u could see them because the subs and comments were less haha
If u find it Interesting that the drummer is in a wheelchair, check out the band Def Leppard they're drummer plays with one arm. & plays just as good as someone with 2.
the drummer isnt actually in a weepchair, they just put him in one for the video, i think all of them are suppose to have physical or mental illnesses like billie might have paranoia in this
if you think this guy is wiggin try 'Sweating Bullets' Megadeth. that video will make you think twice while your thinking twice. if you think this drummer is good try Rick Allen.... he only has on arm.the band he was on, Def Leppard - pour some sugar on me

But thats punk as fuck. Let kids be kids.
They weren't quite as enthusiastic when I saw them in 1998, but Billie Joe did strip down to his underwear. 👍😅
@@VeryCherryCherrysounds about right 😂

lets face it, we all replayed this shit, the drums coming in are awesome
When Tre the drummer joined the band, he was actually told to slow down! The drums carry this song. He’s an amazing drummer.
This album is how I learned to play guitar. I used to restart these songs hundreds of times hahaha
The song from surfs up that you’re referring to is ‘Welcome to Paradise’ which is on the same album as this song
I think it was on an older album as well.
Yeah, it was on Kerplunk! as well.
Tre Cool: cool drummer
Mike Dirnt: great bassist
Billie Joe: the brains
Tre Cool: Tre Cool 😎

Tre Cool is their drummer and he is notorious for doing hilarious crazy shit while drumming!!
Mine too man. Since the first time I heard them in 1993.
You went WAY back with the recommended. Respect. BLEED GREEN
@@Reblwitoutacause they're so good!
"Dookie" remains my favourite album of theirs to this day. It's solid and an essential for 90's rock collections.
Actually one of my favorite songs from them
yes actually its the same band in that movie but the song in the movie is welcome to paradise 😁!!
Dont be apologetic. Tre(drummer) is a comedic genius. he does funny shit without intending and his comedic timing always hits just like his drumming.
Saw them at Wrigley in August. Seeing Tre sing All By Myself was a treat. To top the night off, I caught one of his sticks at the end of the show.
"He looks crazy"
Yep

There's some great suggestions below. I would also say Brain Stew is an excellent one.
