this song 'despacito' really was an instant hit around the globe, it has been sang and translated in 60 different countries....there are even videos on 'who sang it better' covers from around the world. and julie's cover IMO is one of the best, like an acoustic spanish vibe.

Julie is a singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, dancer, actor. Super talented. Having said that, there's should be no diva/belter list where she's ranked better than sarah geronimo. That's just inaccurate. As beautiful as julie's voice is, there's no stage where julie can outpower sarah's voice; no performance where she can outshine sarah's. Sarah is just a beast of a performer.

It explains also our Name, Last Names and Food have a heavy Spanish Influence. Unlike the Latin Countries, we were the only ones that didn’t fully convert to Spanish. I've noticed this with filipinos in general, they speak with a heavy accent then sing with an american accent or what ever accent they want.idk if the singer is fluent in spanish but her accent is almost spot on that its hard to say..
She's not fluent in Spanish but if u speak filipino it's really easy to read and speak spanish without even understanding it whatsoever
She don't speak spanish though. But tagalog language (Filipino language) has similarities to spanish because we (filipinos) was colonized by spanish for three hundred years. But lemme remind this, spanish is far from tagalog. Its just that, it has some similarities to other words.

Legit skill! Filipino language and dialects are influenced and there are words derived from other foreign languages like Spanish. Also, back in the day, Spanish is studied in school, and some of us have Spanish forefathers. Few reasons why we can sing nicely in Spanish. 😊

Filipinos are naturally good with sounding accurately when we say different languages. The Filipino language have "some" similar words for sure. But we're just really flexible too in general when it comes to other languages. Idk why too but we just do.
