I absolutely adored this game when I was younger. Even the fucking horrendous voice acting and janky animations.

Oh yeah, here we go, Vampire time. I’ve played a vampire game before, but I’ve never been a vampire, so I’m going to give this everything I’ve got.
Fun game. Cheesy as hell but I wouldn't have it any other way in a lightgun game.

I LOVED THIS GAME HOW DARE YOU, but yeah it was cheesy as hell.
It felt like Castlevania if it were a light-gun shooter.
They're all cheesy and never make much sense but who cares when all we want to do is shoot stuff! 😄

I played this when I was a little kid, but the style and music really stuck with me. I looked for it on the internet for a long time because I didn't remember the name and now it's here (a but unfairly I would say). But seeing you guys play this still makes my day👌
Lol, another I played this as a kid and loved it comment. It's ok, they said they mainly played it for Halloween, I don't think they think it's that bad.
This was a great game! Granted nowhere near time crisis levels but also Should be playing it with a light gun!

This doesn't look that bad to me. The devs clearly liked House of the Dead 2 which was awesome with even worse VA.
Vampire Night is a fantastic Light Gun shooter and one of the best of the genre on the PlayStation 2 and of course it was meant to be played with a G-Con 2 Light Gun Controller (also works with the G-Con 45 in PAL versions) on a CRT monitor. It's like The House of the Dead games but with Vampires. Come on Worst Game? F No, how dare you!

Yeah it's cheesy as hell but it's a decent lightgun shooter and fun enough to play. The choice to put in a character who looks almost exactly like Squall from FF8 sure was a choice.
This game honestly doesn't deserve worst game ever title.
In my opinion it was just over looked by all the other crazy mayhem light gun games.
In fact I think its story line was solid. It's enemies were different variety. Boss battles were entertaining. Numerous different paths to take. Although it was a very short game. It did have alot of reply value.
In my opinion I found it way more fun than house of the dead. it kinda took it self abit more serious also I feel.
100% agree with all of this. I reckon this one stands the test of time.

Like I'd honestly even play this over time crises 1. That game was ammmmmmaaaaaaazing! The reason I like this better is cause of the horror vampire style.
I remember been scared of the people that had the parasites on them. You had to shoot them off before they slowly walked up to you. If you missed they fully turned into a vampires and move much faster. So that always was a game changer for me. I remember trying to shoot them off but sometimes I couldn't so when they would be right up in my face I'd panic and blast them away and wait till they turned into vampire bahaha good times!

I've put hours into this game I love ot still have it. need to get ps2 hooked up again. Cheesy but great light gun game
Yeah this game definitely ain't a terrible game (unless you hate lightgun rail shooters) it's been a while since I've played it but I really liked it. Its basically Castlevania mixed with House of the Dead (cheesy Voice Acting as well). Also the HOTD similarities aren't a coincidence as Namco and Sega made this together.
This channel makes me think of 2 13th century boys being shown video games by a time traveler lol

Can't say it's bad because it's cheesy with terrible acting because that's exactly what House of the Dead is.
I loved this game. You just don't appreciate the campiness of it all.
What's the point of playing a lightgun game without a lightgun anyway? It's not meant to be played that way. Using a lightgun is a different experience because the cursor won't stay in one place, like it seems to do here, unless you have arms of steel.
Although the game is on-rails, there are actually several different ways through the village. It depends on which enemies you manage to kill. For example, at the beginning of the level, if you manage to save Caroline before the creature takes her with it, you don't have to keep following it. If you don't manage to save Caroline down in the courtyard, then you just have to keep following the creature until you save her or it kills her or whatever, I don't remember.
I loved this game!! Corny as all hell but God it was so much fun, basically a spooky Time Crisis!

Twin Caliber is a mostly forgotten PS2 game that I would love to see on this show.
I used to play TC for hours on the PS2! Some of the boss designs were really interesting in that game.

This game actually was not bad in the gameplay department. It was pretty fun.
Soundtrack was pretty decent too.
But much like Time Crisis 2 and Ninja Assault.....the voice acting was beyond bad.

Just clicked play and the spooky-music intro was great.

This Game kicked Ass when I was way younger,, your First mistake was u played with a Controller “Hella Dumb” 😂😂 this was a PS2 Game and u played it with a GUN!! And you played it 2 players with two Guns ,you and your cousin or Best bud , and maybe smoke some bud and just Go at it!!
love this game. namco tried to do house of the dead with vampires, and it didn’t succeed necessarily but still fun and the guncon2 is way better than the dreamcast lightguns. mine only like to work if i’m like 2-3 feet away versus the dead-on-balls accurate guncon 1/2. i’ll start playing hotd2 on my dreamcast - get frustrated at the innaccuracy and play a game like this or time crisis or ninja assault on my ps2
Didnt realize how many PS2 games urgently need a goddamn PC port lready. Like for example: Dark Watch and BLACK, fantastic games but only for PS2... really short minded people who made them.
I have this game still and an OG PS2 hahaha might have to hook it back up and grab my PS2 memory card that hopefully still has my save on it from when my brother and I used to play it........ fuck that's almost 20 years ago 😂😂😂

I actually went out of my way to purchase this game again for my old fat PS2 around the same time this video came out just on a whim because I remembered this from my childhood and I have to say I've grown to actually understand what quality is and though this games writing and dialogue is not quite quality it's still fun it's still enjoyable and I CAN recommend it I bought it for 30 dollars total cuz shipping I started playing it again today and realize I still don't have all the things the grind is arguably the worst part of this game but the voice acting really wants that title
It's not really a pyrrhic victory if they stopped the forces of evil and willingly let themselves die. More bittersweet than anything else. It would be pyrrhic if they for example killed this sect but before doing so the vampires successfully unleashed an unstoppable global plague or something (i.e. won the battle, lost the war).
Holy SHIT, I have definitely thrown the American equivalent of a quid at this cabinet at an arcade in college. I don't think the lightgun would've helped all that much, it was absolute dogshit even in that form factor.
I definitely played this game all the time when I was younger. I loved it. Super cheesy, but that's what makes it enjoyable for me

Back when I used to work at GameStop on the same day I bought this game as well as Time crisis 1 and 2, needless to say this game didn't get played very much

Worst game ? Bit harsh . Cheesy yes but a great light gun shooter . Think it shares a space with the jarassic Park light gun game , just below house of the dead and Time crisis which are god level light gun games
The second cursor is there because pcsx2 by default has two controllers plugged in

You need a Guncon and you can't play this on a HDMI TV or you will ruin your TV

I wonder if they still have the copy of Too Human I sent in in the early Vidiots days. That game has a rating of 65% on Metacritic, but I honestly found it incredibly naff. There's such a huge gulf in the review scores too. 20% lowest but 90% highest.

This is still a title I play from time to time, and one I played when I was a kid. I recently got into speed running this with a time of 28m 05s, which is second place on the leaderboard (I didn’t record the run to submit it, but maybe I’ll do so someday).
