Haha.. another bath in tank water. 😂 Good filter cleaning demo. Feel like some people might feel it's a bigger job than it is but your video shows it's pretty painless really.
@@aquariumdelirium I hear that. I started bumping up my quality with better clips, background music, animated effects, transitions, etc… and it’s slowing me down but the videos have been doing well. I’ve been spending more time editing than it takes to just record. Some videos though I just leave them more natural. My fish room tour I was going to add a bunch more b roll clips and stuff but decided to let it have a more natural feel and it’s gotten way less views than more normal videos but I don’t care I just wanted to show off what I have so I can reference it all in the future. The views and following will all come in time I hope :)
To be quite honest, you could fill it full of sponges or fill it full of media, you’d probably have enough bacteria in a well seasoned tank without a canister, but we all like to overstock so it helps keep a balance New sponges may become expensive but I should really go new on the filter floss each time Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍
How you doing when’s next hike I was looking for some info on the 307 filter as I am upgrading from a 207 nice tank setup like to small world but small UA-cam seems better. Subbed.
Howdy Steve I still do the hikes just don’t film it anymore Too much stress worrying about weather and time away So I just walk it now and started this channel 👍
The Filming is hard work good to see your well like the video gave me an idea for my last tray as my setup is the same except for the polishing filter floss. Got the fluval shaker 168 cabinet and tank which come with 207 but have now upgraded to 307.
No it’s not, but it does strain the fine particles out nicely it’s basically polyester sheeting if you wanted to renew it cheaply Forgot to say thanks for watching 👍👍 hence the edit lol
I have mate I bought it separately from Maidenhead I did like it but i prefer the ducks beak The direction pushed the muck around just a bit better in my tank Cheers for watching Shane 👍👍
lol I’ve just worked it out you are herts doh lol I had to let Vince down on the grow n show lost my job and money is at premium for a while Good luck with your buddy 👍👍
I can’t recommend the Fluval 307. I have one and the motor head has cracked 3 times. Fluval has replaced it under warranty but it is a hassle. Finally gave up and got the Fx4.
FLUVAL 207 just purchased for 12 gallon tank - two days later CLOUDY WATER. Not clearning as advertised. BIO part did not wake up. Had to get "clarifying" solution.
Did you try adding more filler floss I love that stuff for making your water look crystal clear! Got rid of the carbon and the green phosphate guard and put loads of polyester pad in 👌
Still watching my friend.. Those filters do a great job.. always a major process cleaning.
Great job
Great vid
Cheers Stubbs
Interesting Mal, it amazes me that you know so much about tanks, good job done xxx 🐟 🐠 🐡
I don’t sis but I’m learning every day

@AQUARIUM DELIRIUM hahaha... nah man, was good.
I have almost the same cannister filter 306 and thank you it reminded me I need to clean mine soon. Nice video as always 😁👍
Thanks patty 👍
It’s a good day when I wake up to a new Aquarium Delirium video
Then next few videos I’m really going to up the production, not so sure about the quantity though lol

@@aquariumdelirium that’s one of the most important things that you could focus on!
You should set alarms on your phone mal in your calendar to remind you, eeeeew 🤢 I can’t imagine what those sponges felt like🤣🤣
You could buy me a aquarium delirium calendar 📅 lol
Xxx cheers for watching heather
@@aquariumdelirium you still need to remember to look at the calendar your phone gives an alarm🤣🤣🤣x
nice one mal i just ordered a 307 for my new 160 litter tank for the small koi
I love mine, wish I picked up a few more in the Amazon Black Friday sale, have you accepted Vince and new forest challenge? Or are these your own fry?
@aquariumdelirium I will be doing the grow on yes and I also have some from being down there on Saturday
I’m I the only person that cleans it every week, I’ve just seen so many people go a month to a year even without cleaning it.
I bet there’s quite a lot that do the same 👍
I do run 50 micron polishing pads so that is probably necessary
Oh I bet the flow stops suddenly with those in 👍
I just started so I haven’t found out yet and it’s been a week since I first tried them
are the sponges that important doesnt the other media hold the bacteria wouldnt it be better replacing the sponges with new ?
