No one knows how many was on bridge . But there’s still six missing . Really .
bridge was closed to Traffic at the time of impact. Unfortunately 6 construction workers are missing. Watch the extended 4 minute film clip ~ and U will notice, Traffic then No Traffic .
They stopped traffic after May Day. Only the workers were known to be there.
They should also be able to tally the cars using camera footage on both sides.

With the federal government involved, it took 25 years - not months - to get the new eastern span erected. Since then, damaged bridges and highways are repaired/replaced under different contract models put in place by the last remaining old-timers who actually knew how things get done. At one time, the heads of departments came up from the ranks and they knew what they were doing. Buttigieg has consistently displayed his ineptitude and this shouldn’t be surprising as the mayor of South Bend IN is likely not up to the task of managing the federal transportation system.

A spike in violent crime, development that largely ignored the African American community and how their only well-lit street is the one that leads to the University of Notre Dame.
So how, they wonder, can Buttigieg possibly be trusted to run the country?
“If he’s the next president, I fear for our country. He couldn’t run our city. How can he run the United States?” said Michelle Burger, 42, a stay-at-home mom who lives in South Bend’s impoverished and predominantly black West Side.
“Look at all the crime - he didn’t do anything about it. Look at our quality of life. If he becomes president, the United States will become one big South Bend - a giant sinkhole. We’ll be in a new depression.”
Another West Side resident, Cornish Miller, 62, said of Buttigieg, “Rating him 1 to 10, I’d give him a 2.”
“Buttigieg talked about all the improvements he made, but he hardly made a dent,” said Miller, who works for a military supply company.
“The West Side is the most neglected part of town. The street I live on is the only street around here that has lights. That’s because we’re a gateway to Notre Dame.”

@rob-time you're most welcome. But why would you assume that? Are only people from South Bend able to criticize him? Does that hold true for others pols, or just Pothole Pete? And does that discount what the residents in the article I sent have to say? As fan of his, were you not aware the problems he had with the African-American community? It was quite well documented (including a rather ugly scene on the 2020 campaign trail when he was shouted down by an angry segment of that population).
Also, why did it take him three weeks to visit East Palestine after the train derailment? He admitted he should've gone sooner. Oddly, it was only after former President Trump went that the Secretary of Transportation went. And even then, it was just to blame the former president. President Biden still hasn't gone btw.
There are other issues, like his extended vacations or saying that highway designs are racist (which, given how unpopular with the African-American community he is, seems like pandering).
