Stunning. Thank you so much for making the video. I have spent many years visiting Loch Awe Boats and find it the most beautiful of places to visit. As you say, Janet and Cliff are two of the most welcoming and lovely people that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The service is second to none and the bacon and egg rolls in the morning are so delicious. I have many happy memories of the place and with Inveraray just down the road it is a tourist hive of activity in the summer. It is so nice to go out and explore the islands and the loch side. The fishing is brilliant and I miss the place very much when I am not there. Once again, a very big thank you. Best Wishes David
Hi David, thanks very much for the kind comments. It most certainly is the most stunning place and very special to me. It is where I first launched my boat Reel Time the Orkney Coastliner. Look out for another very short video next week of my first launch day. It will be part of the 'pre UA-cam Archives Series''. Phil.
Nice video. Takes me back to when Donald used to run the yard. Loved to hire a boat or two for the weekend and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I had many magical times at Loch Awe with friends and family looking for an escape. It was a sad sad day when the boat hire shut down. Just hope the opertuntity comes back again some time...
Thanks for your comments. I try to get across to loch Awe a few times a year. As mentioned in the video, it was the first place I launched Reel Time having spent many an hour dreaming as I refurbished the boat in the garage. I'm glad the video has brought back fond memories for you. Phil.
Lovely look around a very nice boat yard/marina. I think the happy hooker as been to the loch? I'm in the process of putting more rollers on my trailer to make my solo launching easier, and in turn make visiting other fishing ares easier, I may try the loch next year.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Having a small boat that’s easy to trail around certainly opens up many opportunities. I saw @thehappyhooker. had been to Loch Etive after the Spurdogs. Have fun on your travels and fishing adventures.
Hello and good information about Loch Awe Boats.. last year, I tried to find the boat yard and couldn't find it. Could you put me in the right direction, and is it still open. Thanks Steve. Subbed you
Hi Thanks for commenting and asking the question. It's located off the B840 just behind the Ardbrecknish House Hotel. It maybe now closed for the Winter.
@@anotherangleUK im getin seahawk2 n challanger k2 kayak in next couple of days will be doin underwater vids with eyoyo camera in river clyde you up for joinin me yeah i had a small boat in that yard years ago 🚣😃👍
Thanks for identifying the Starley Sea Nymph. She looks like a boat that slowly get you there in any weather with the displacement hull. Like you I prefer a bit more 'run for home' speed when the weather kicks up hence the Coastliner.
No problem. The Loch Awe Boats team are very helpful. Give them a call and have a chat. There’s a hotel at the top of the drive which maybe open for food depending on what day it is. The Pike should be hungry at this time of year. Good luck and enjoy your trip. Phil

Cliff who runs the place is an absolute gent. Very helpful. It’s changed a lot from 30 years ago when Donald had the place. 👍
Very helpful folks that run Loch Awe Boats, there’s also quite a community of anglers who are happy to help with advice. 👍
Very nice looking place there Phil, Nice video to go with it, Thank you for shearing,

Lovely looking place, makes me think about a first trip to Scotland one day
You should do it’s a fantastic place - just avoid the midge season 👍
greet video. I never tire of seeing boats
I’ve always enjoyed having a look around boatyard. Interesting to see what others have done on their boats but equally sad seeing a neglected example.
Great Video. I love it up there. ellens a Parker 14 Fisher i Think
Thanks for that information. I do love a good look around at the smaller fishing boats and it's nice to know what I'm looking at.

Cool i use my boats all year round fishin n day / weekend trips in good weather 🚣😃👍
Boat at 16.13 is a starley sea nymph. Nice angling boat but too slow for me with displacement hull
