I’m a therapist from Philly. I've been to SA twice. I fell in love with the country during my first visit. I will be back in Jozi in August. What's the name of Dr? Asad’s family channel?
I remember watching the Malik family's journey to move to the continent. Incredibly inspiring. There are many of us who are in different planning stages, and these videos keep us inspired. Thank you both for your ministry. 🙏🏽
It’s GREAT TO SEE BROTHER ASAD…We love this TRUE SOUTH AFRICAN. We love you brother Asad and family. Many thanks my sister for inviting brother Asad in your channel, we love this brother and family.
I am retired and left the United States and now live in Playa Blanca, Panama, in a beachfront condo. I will be in Cape Town in February and plan to come to Joburg and Durban afterward. It's great out here.
Great and informative conversation between you and Dr Asad. I really enjoyed listening and learning. I truly feel bad that African governments, including South African, are really not doing enough to support and subsidize Africans of the diaspora who wish to settle on the continent. It's disgraceful.
You two touched on how the AA community in South Africa hasn't really organized its self into its own distinct community like lets say AA im Ghana or the Gambia have done. I think its partly because AA in South Africa find it relatively easy to assimilate into the local population. The process for renting and buying homes is almost identical to the process in the States, stores have set prices, debit cards are used you can build credit etc... and things like BEE can work into our favor ... I haven't transitioned to South Africa yet but I am planning to... Usually challenges are what inspires people to do community organizing
@@JaeScottStyle I completely understand and agree with you guys that having an organization to help families transition to life in SA or even be able to assist when families have issues ( i.e , financial challenges or immigration issues etc) It would be awesome if the org. we're able to retain immigration lawyers and help Aaa families with applying for Visas) I know the digital nomad Visa is on the horizon and that can open the door for more remote working AA ( like myself) transition to SA. An AA brother who lives in SA shared with me how many years ago there was an org. that involved AA and local SAfrcns with the aim of tackling local problems. It didn't end well 🤦🏽. Locals couldn't agree on which issues were priority and didn't at the time want to receive any advice from AA. Honestly the AA should have just organized to focus primarily on themselves and then create an NGO to do outreaches ( i.e building libraries, schools, clinics etc) I know an AA missionary who is also an architect who has been coming back and forth to SA for 20 years preaching and building libraries and other good works in rural areas of SA. I know I shared a lot 🤦🏽

Hi, I just wanted to add something, Marcus Gravey was a Jamaican that was scamming Black🖤, Negro & Colored North Americans 🇺🇸, this is one of the reasons he got deported. He never even been to Africa, but died in London 🇬🇧✅, no disrespect and thank you for sharing your journey.

Challenges do but so does the mere essence of likeness and sense of community.
