The bubble light issue is that you can not ship them. The liquid in the lights is “hazardous” and USPS etc no longer allows shipment. That’s why eBay has them banned. Other sites may allow them to be listed and sold but USPS doesn’t allow shipping of them.
Grat Video! That Salvation Army is where we found a Calloway Big Bertha 460 left handed driver when we were there on vacation a few weeks ago - It was such a great find
Nomex was a great find. Nomex has to be worn in places like petrochemical plants. Those plants are all along I-10 in Texas, La. and Miss. Grew up in Louisiana and you can’t throw a rock without hitting a plant worker.
We were in Mrytle for the 4th and checked out a couple GW. Lots of clothes at half the cost we pay. We got a few really cool items though. We actually did better at some local yard sales before we headed home.
18:29 In my experience, Gucci looks and feels very well made. There is attention to every detail with perfect stitching and durable, high quality fabrics. With a t-shirt, check the neck. With a Gucci neck band, the width and shape of the band, the fabric quality and the stitching-hidden-are not at all like those of a normal t-shirt.
I think that people get away buying and selling the bubble lights by listing the chords then they send the lights with the chords. But it will be interesting to know if you can sell just the chord. Also, I would put the Sperry’s up for sale and just note the damage. You’ll still be able to make some money on them and at least make back what you bought the for. Just be honest about the damage. But I think they’ll still sell because the damage isn’t noticeable to anyone but the person wearing them.
Obviously you want to get items with lots of potential profit but what I like is that you are happy to buy items with smaller profit margins (as I would) of $15-20 as it all mounts up !
100% it adds up - =) and to be honest they sell faster then those very expensive items in our store 10 - $15 profit items a day mixed in a big sale aint too bad
I’m the same way with selling smaller profit margin items. I’m not comfortable spending a large amount of $$ up front then have the item sit on eBay for a long time.
regarding empty shelves..... Goodwill has its own online shopping function now. I wonder if they send a lot of the good stuff for their own shop rather than leave it out for pickers.
Another bunch of great finds, congratulations. That orange safety jumpsuit and the hiking boots are good finds. Both of your thrifting partners are great.
When you list the jumpsuit, you may want to add keywords " mill shutdown"...folks that work the mill/factory shutdowns for maintenance have to wear the fireproof stuff and it's expensive!
I have had that happen to me before with the shoes, got in a hurry or got excited to grab them before someone else and miss a flaw in them. Nice haul though!!
You should try hitchhiking in the orange jumpsuit down here in TX by Huntsville prison. See if anyone "picks" you up. Or just at least go thrifting in it.
Yes sir. The bubble lights are banned. I was excited to SIX sets, promptly listed them to find out shortly after with a finger wagging e-mail from eBay. Thankfully, just a wagging. I plan to sell at a flea market. Still, they are awesome!!! AND… I again learn from you… I can part it out… hadn’t thought of that! WILE E. BEARDED!!! Genius!!!
Regarding the Gucci Tshirt - Sometimes specific brands will have an RN number. For example, Anthropologie has the RN number of RN66170. Not sure if Gucci Tshirts do the same, but it is a way to authenticate them. All Anthropologie will have that RN number regardless of what type of clothing it is and can be found on the inside tag, which is usually on the side of the clothing.
Picked up a commercial juicer in green porcelain many years ago. Hamilton Beach brand to go along with my malt mixer in green!! Have to get some parts for it but it should work like a gem!! Love the wooden pelican!! Can’t you take the shoes back and exchange them for something else? I know you can with clothing as long as it’s 7 days.
The orange Kevlar jumpsuit looks like something from Ghostbusters! Who ya gonna call? Save it for Halloween if it doesn't sell. It would make a great costume.
Great video as always. For some reason , my shoes and boots aren't selling . Hopefully that will pickup again soon . It is summer but usually I sell shoes and sandals . Not so much now .
You always have great informative videos thank you. You have definitely helped us get started and continue to improve. and kind of cool to see an item you sold used as a comp. lol ( We sold that blue bag in April)
I love watching your videos bro, I’ve been learning so much from watching them and I’m starting to make pretty good profit. I’m planning on making this my full time job and I really can’t wait!
The orange coveralls looks to be a refinery or off shore work coveralls. Nomex is fabric used in the industry. Fire retardant and flash retardant clothing.
I think all the thrift stores are low on inventory in our area, is because of garage sale season here. I have been getting some amazing deals this year... Love watching you two!! 😊
I really enjoy your videos. We ought to be able b to have a Bumpz, Dentz, and Other Problems category in ourvstores. It would be a way go sell the Sperries with tongue over use. I have several items that would qualify in my store!
I know this video is older as I just recently started viewing. My question is "why wouldn't you have turned around and returned them?" Especially since you haven't even left the parking lot. I'm enjoying learning from you both and am about to subscribe. Thank you
You have a European size in your shoes. Honestly, it's what I work with. I use the women's shoe hack and wear a 39, which is women's 8, big kids 6 1/2! Great money saver!!
Don’t take this personally because I love you guys but I really feel that now that there are so many people YouTubing how little they pay and how much they’re making is the reason for the decline of inventory and high pricing at our thrift stores. With covid people are not wanting to go to work so are trying to become resellers. I personally count on thrifting to clothe myself and save $ on my social security check. It’s impacting me and it hurts! I’m just trying to survive. I live in New York and our sal Val’s and goodwills are scarce and terrible inventory. 😢
Do you guys wash all clothing before selling? I’ve found so many pieces that have an odor to them. Also, I have a fake Gucci purse I’d like to sell cheap. Do I have to say it is fake on EBay or do you think buyer would think at that price it must be fake??? One other thing, I have a full set of Mammies, would EBay allow them to be listed?? I love you guys, I learn so much from you. Thank you.
It's illegal to sell anything that is fake - ebay will also suspend your store - we won't sell the Gucci knowing now 100% it's fake. - I don't know that is 😀
@@beardedthriftmachine I wondered why I wasn’t getting notifications of your sales. Never thought about auctioneer laws. Wonder if other whatnot sellers have that issue & just don’t know about it.
Sorry not reselling related, but do love your channel. Hubby's birthday coming up and heard you talking about Hey Dudes shoes. I want to get him some! Can you recommend a certain one? Keep it up bearded man and I'm gonna keep watching you and your lil lady. (Did those 🦫 learn to behave?) ~Analee
Hey! They have the new style hey dudes out that are more like boat shoes - slip on no laces very very nice - sadly the beavers are RIP - but Now are dealing with all the dead trees they left behind
@beardedthriftmachine Thanks so much Julian, it is Julian??? God I hope so or I'm gonna feel like a dope! And Kayla? Fingers crossed! I ordered him some Wally Stretch in the color Iron. I think he'll like them. He's got tons more surprises but saw those shoes(think Kevin/Commonwealth) wears them too. Beavers croaked? Wow! They left a mess like you don't have enough to do, lol! Ok, enough yakking. So glad you responded and so fast so I could order them. ❤️ a man with a beard. My honey has one too. Grrrr! I'm 👀 you! ~Analee (OK)

The cat bag is made by Laurel Burch. I like her products. I collect her enamel earrings. I didn't here what the bag was marked for. Julie Buttons
Enjoy watching you and Kayla.❤
Always watch them all! ( :
My husband works offshore and has these same issued orange work coveralls . The color helps for you to be spotted in the water in a search and rescue.
Love those bubble lights…I think we should get to see Kayla all dressed up for her 90s party. Great video 🥰
I'll tell her to take a picture:) I won't be with her so I'll see if she wants to take a camera
Love the jail onesie. Someone will want it for Halloween because orange is the new black.
i agree 100%!
I prefer the voice over. We can hear you better and focus on what you are sharing without the distractions. Love it when you thrift with your Dad. ❤
The bubble light issue is that you can not ship them. The liquid in the lights is “hazardous” and USPS etc no longer allows shipment. That’s why eBay has them banned. Other sites may allow them to be listed and sold but USPS doesn’t allow shipping of them.

That is a great find esp at that salvation army!!!
Nomex was a great find. Nomex has to be worn in places like petrochemical plants. Those plants are all along I-10 in Texas, La. and Miss. Grew up in Louisiana and you can’t throw a rock without hitting a plant worker.
Race car drivers wear nomex suits under their driving suits too.
Thanks for the info! i thought it was some good material after doing some research
My hubby has one of those LL Bean toiletry bags he uses when we travel. He’s had it at least 10 years & it still looks like new. Great find!
That is awesome! That thing sold fast! People must really like them
We were in Mrytle for the 4th and checked out a couple GW. Lots of clothes at half the cost we pay. We got a few really cool items though. We actually did better at some local yard sales before we headed home.
yea yard sales are great around here - the goodwills are hit and miss but when you hit you usually do very very good

Yea I think the stitching on the tag was a give away - not center and definitely off
Is there a place to send items like that to be verified like there is with shoes?
I'd keep the Bubble Lights for my own use.
I think that people get away buying and selling the bubble lights by listing the chords then they send the lights with the chords. But it will be interesting to know if you can sell just the chord. @@beardedthriftmachine does that apply to shoes as well?
My local Goodwill has so much stuff, the shelves are crammed full. Doesn't seem like quite so much clothes, though.

I was pulling some orders when I heard “be full of snap on tools” and I ran to my phone only to see an empty box.

4 bucks on the Hoodia, WTH my Goodwill wants like 12.50 on decent hoodies.
yea our Goodwills are still priced good

on the next one !!!
: ) always
I feel like they're out of business now years ago I'd gone past it and it was abandoned
Noma bubble lights banned on eBay but I have sold them on Mercari just fine
There was a reason they stopped making them. The chemicals were poisonous. Making a quick buck, (not even) knowing this, shameful
Why are they banned on Ebay??
Some of them are toxic if they break but not all. eBay bans all of them regardless.
Take them back you right there.
That wasn't the Same goodwill - but we can get credit for it
