- "The Good Old Days" theme reminded me of these two delightful books of poetry AA Milne wrote for his young son Christopher Robin, "When We Were Very Young" and "Now We Are Six". This poem, "The End", is the last of book 2, and kind of sums up the whole set.
A 6-year-old looks back on his early years. With music by me.
For Season 649 of the Ukulele, the good old days.

Just love this rhyme. My kids love this too. Such a great choice. Bravo!!
@@CasparHarmer Awesome! Thanks, Caspar. How old are your kids?
This is amazing! May I know if I could have a copy of the ukulele notes that you used in this? A ukulele newbie too! Always wanted to pick up ukulele and thought this would be great to show the 6 year olds in my class 😍
@@KJo-h1l Thank you so much, KJo! I'm so happy you like it. It's just chords, and I long ago taught myself to fingerpick / arpeggiate on the chords. It's really super simple:
Now We Are Six - The End - AA Milne
Now We Are Six
by Alan Alexander Milne
The End
(C) When I was One,
I had just be(F)gun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly (G7) new.
(C) When I was Three,
I was hardly (F) Me.
When I was Four,
I was not much (G7) more.
(F) When I was (C) Five,
(F) I was just a(G7)live.
But (F) now I am Six, I’m as (C) clever as clever.
So I (F) think I’ll be (G7) six now for (C) ever (F) and (C) ever.
@@KJo-h1l I would love to see a recording if you do anything with it!
The Mag3.1415 was likely asking about cowbell.
That would be irrational
