Hey Akshat, Thanks a lot for making small case definitely will be useful for new investors to start to taste the stock market. Key point 1. Identifying undervalued sector - Consumer durable stocks (Ac, fridge , TV ) 2 **** Brand Value plays key role in high profit and company makes a mandatory fails there product after couple of years to re-Buy**) 3. Reason for growth in consumer durable goods is govt is making rural area as electrified - demand for consumers durable will grow by 2025 as per **resources. Thanks Akshat 😊

I didn't know about this deliberate practice. But, after observing multiple cases, I agree with you. Earlier Godrej products were really good and durable. Lately, that's not the case. Me and my extended family have grown up using Godrej products. But in the last couple of years, we have completely replaced Godrej products with alternatives - the reason being, frequent breakage and poor customer care experience.
I totally agree with the point that recent consumer durable products tend to have shorter life span. I bought a JBL speaker which doesn't work after just 2 years of purchase. Whereas the Samsung mobile phone bought by dad has survived for 7 years.
Instead of investing in companies which sell AC'S, individually.. we can invest in company which manufacturs and allow these companies for marking their brand.. the company is Amber enterprises India Ltd... It's a contract manufacturing company for ACs
I totally agree with you with the durable goods .. infact a salesman himself explained as to why they spoil.. if the product is made in japan or korea we consider it as good but there will one one part made in china which spoils the goods in 3-5 years ..

Nice video. Although, your point on products in the past lasting long, I think that is a case of "Survivorship Bias". The Carrier AC which you mentioned or, say, the HM Ambassador car lasted for well over 10 years. However, those were the best products in their respective segments. There were many other ACs and cars which failed miserably back then that we don't remember today. I don't think Brands build products to fail. Certain really good products made today will last the test of time too but tech and consumer preferences change so quickly that customers tend to replace their iPhone X with an iPhone 12 (although objectively there's very little difference between the two).

Indigenous manufacturing is not necessarily going to be cheap. A lot of things were actually cheaper in China since it produced in bulk for multiple companies and has cheaper labour and more relaxed labour laws. For example, if you go check the prices of any monitor for your PC or laptop, the prices have sharply risen since Covid-19 hit us. This is a result of limited imports from China and higher cost of manufacturing in local markets.

+1 important thing to know!
Do you think a smallcase of 4 stocks need rebalancing? He clearly mentioned some companies will become huge while others will not. He is betting on all 4 of them.
Great! you do a good Analysis. Keep it up.
Hmm , profit margin of apple considering only the raw material cost of phone is close to 250 to 300 percent , but if we include R&D and Marketing cost then it's close to 100Percent .
There is a shortage of semi conductors in the manufacturing market , so therefore AC, TV and Fridges sales will drop as compared to FMCG.

My portfolio is also in the green. I have invested in many stocks recommended by you. However, I do my own research and I watch your videos and check out the companies you invest in. I have invested 41 thousand in bitcoin. I have a ceiling fan that is about 35 years old, it is a Crompton Greaves. Thank you. I will check out these stocks and decide. Thanks so much.
