Fantic GT Six Special | Custom Build | Final Test Ride

The final test ride of a custom build Fantic GT Six for a customer.
There were just a few small things to do after this ride such as replacing the rear suspension units, a tiny clutch adjustment and a final tidy up of wires etc.
Bike specification as follows;
This TX270 was originally a Dutch market model with a 4 speed gearbox and a VERY restricted engine.
Stripped to the bare frame, a fully rebuilt Fantic SP6 6 speed gearbox was fitted, along with a Nicasil lined Minarelli radial competition cylinder and head fitted with the correct Asso piston. This cylinder has a lot more torque than the standard Fantic radial cylinders while still giving good power at the top end.
Brand new Dellorto SHB 19.19D carb with 105 main jet.
Custom made stainless steel exhaust header.
Fantic FT75 Chopper exhaust with custom made large diameter baffle.
Modified 12 volt electronic ignition from the later Minarelli AM6 engines.
Top Performances CDI.
12 volt bulbs fitted.
Marzocchi rear suspension units, replaced with custom made units after this test ride.
New old stock hydraulic forks with disc brake mounting.
New old stock front wheel with brake disc.
New brake master cylinder and pipe.
New fast action throttle and grip.
ContiStreet tyres 2.75 x 18.
Custom made UK type rear light bracket and number plate holder.

Have you ever managed to get a spannie for one of these?

I tried 5 different exhausts on this bike during the testing phase. A peashooter expansion chamber gave the worst performance. It worked best with a Fantic Chopper exhaust and a custom made downpipe.

very nice, seems to regulate at high rpm, may be the exhaust full of carbon?

Exhaust was brand new. This engine gives a lot of low down torque while still giving constant power at the top end, you can see at 0:30 the way it pulls up the long hill. Most other 50cc bikes would need to change down gear to even keep near 40 mph.
