I love how he calls all of his subscribers "friends" because you can tell this guy really means it and thinks of us all as his friends and family. A very rare trait amongst people nowadays
Hey Buckin, new fella here. I’m from southwest of St. Louis Missouri. My new wife and son and I are building our forever home at our families farm in rural Missouri. Gettin away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Our primary heat is going to be a wood boiler so I’ll be cuttin and choppin quite a bit. I’ve been cuttin blow downs off our farm roads for years but that’s about as far as my power saw knowledge goes. You are teaching me so much I can’t ever begin to thank you. I hope you realize just how much you are helping folks as well as bringing joy and positivity to people who truly need it. (Myself included). You are a true mentor for people who might not have a mentor in life. Anyways Buckin, just wanted to say thanks. You are the type of family man that I strive to be.
Hi All, I'm new to the channel and LOVING it. I took down a 60' redwood in my front yard last year for my first big fell. A WW2 parachute harness, motorcycle tie down for a flipline and my dirt bike boots with a set of old climbing spikes strapped on. The neighbors thought I was nuts. Now they know for sure. And from a fellow Billy Ray, no kiddin', THANK YOU for sharing your sawing experience as well as your life experience, They are both educational and heartfelt. My first experience feeling the power of Mac10 was in a go kart when I was around 10 years old. I still remember with great fondness the feeling of water streaming out of my eyes at top speed of around 70 and having that kind of power at my command. Been chasing that feeling for the last 54 years and loving every minute of it.God Bless You BIlly Ray and all of you out there.
The man who ran that saw in the day was King of the Woods. No two ways about it. God Bless you for keeping these memories alive, my friend. Welcome to the new subs, you'll get a lot of good here if you hand around.
your so popular Billy because your such decent bloke with a first class heart... I find doing things I've never done and learning things i never knew, bring me joy... Keep on loving and living billy, The masons from north queensland...
Billy I have started watching your show and I really like it I have learned a lot watching you work with your saws and cutting trees down the safe way.
Hello from South Georgia. I worked for a McCulloch Dealer in the late 80"s. The worst McCulloch Chainsaw was the Mini-Mac. You had to pull the engine out of the case to do carb work.
Cheers, my Northern neighbor! Saws are awesome! Watching this video reminds me of the power-saw that I ran as a teenager in the Sierra Nevada mountains. It was a '74 Husky 490 w/ a 40" bar. That old beast could devour large rounds of oak! Now I'm grateful for the Stihl 291 that I have, cuz it's keeping my family warm here in Montana. I want to buck wood full-time & I appreciate your advice about the value of a handshake & customer service. Thanks for your videos, Billy Ray! -- Alex
All I can say is :) :) :). Thanks to Buckin' and the Buckin' Army. I've been here for about a month or more and I am grateful I found this community. I can never seem to watch these the day they come out, but I watch them all. I missed it live but the live video last Sunday where you all were donating to help with Blair's chair actually brought tears to this man's eyes, what a great bunch of people you are.
Hi Billy, going to buy some of that Beard Oil. The wife also likes smooth hands. Great idea can’t wait to get a whiff of the cedar oil. Check in again once it I get it and the wife gives her input. Thanks for a great video on the old McCulloch, my dad had one of these when I was a kid. Loved those old saws and cutting fire wood with Dad in the mountains of California. Keep on Buckin’ Billy.
That thing is a Brute! I think that was the saw that Paul Newman used to cut a desk in half at the Union Hall in the movie "Sometimes A Great Notion"...I wish Husky would resurrect Macs and bring them back to their Glory Days...thanks for sharing!
Hi buckin, from western n.y. That gear drive saw was awesome, i love all the old McCulloch saws too, i watch your videos when i'm working on my customers saws, thank you for the great videos, have a great day, God Bless

Hearing it run I thought there wasn't any rpm, but when Victor showed the piece of chip I was amazed it even did pull through 😲 The torq on that machine is massive! Thanks for this sequal, Buckin'. It was nice to watch you bring this amazing saw back to life 👍
dude you make me smile! I fixed up an old homelite superXL 12 a few years ago. i was excited like you when i got it running good. had to rebuild the motor and other stuff.
I am so glad that picture of you and Hogan was made to poster size for you. And any of those old gear drives whether they be Macs or Stihls are absolute animals.

Your are a chain sharpening God! That 840 running bloody awesome now 😍 when I got mine it had been converted to .404 chain due to the rarity of the 1/2" chain. But your giving me inspiration to pull it out of the collection an fire her up haha. Love the old saw rescue vids. Be nice to see the 125 an 840 go toe to toe through a log. Take care Mark.
Coolest saw ever. Awesome just awesome. Hanging for years then boom. Shes alive and pulling like crazy. 840 is on the bucket list of saws! Someday I hope.
You have to be my favorite person on UA-cam! Everything that I've watched is interesting to me and I love that you are enthusiastic about everything that you do. You are also super positive and I love it! Thank you and keep it up!
Love the bush ingenuity. Fuel line as insulator on a condensor wire. If u get to town pick up some heat shrink tube, but that fuel line should last forever. Been a subscriber for several years, and love the channel. Like all the subtle recovery references! Been cutting firewood and heating with wood since a kid. Best memories as a kid, the whole family (7 kids) out in woods cutting wood and having hotdog roast over the brush pile at noon. Hey Buckin. Those pics of you and Hogan are as cool as it gets my friend,,,,, and that old Mac,,,,, WOW ,,, what a terror, ,, I bet that beast is fun to play with
I love good ol’ Billy Ray. I’ve learned a ton from him. Top of the class! I have the 840’s little brother, a 640 that I’m working on. I also just bought McCulloch Kart engine (either a MC-6 or a MC-49 with what I think is a 101B Carb) that will power this saw. Watching the cuts wants me to get crackin’. Look for a 640M video soon.
I was surprised it cut that fast as I always thought those gear drive were slow. I want one! Maybe Steve's Small Engine can talk you through repairing the oiler. It's a beastly saw.
Hey Buckin, That old 840 is a BEAST and the chips were incredible ! ! ! I cannot wait to see that thing run some more. It was AWESOME to see the Victorious one again, We've missed him around here. What do you think about reaching 74,000 subscribers. The Buckin' Army and the Soldiers of Kindness are growing stronger. I am honored to be amongst the other incredible people in this community. Welcome to all the new subscribers. You are all now amongst 74,000 friends. Please pop into the comment section and say hello. Love and blessings to you all.
Fuel line is great. It self protects from oil and fuel, has a good distance of insulation. How high the voltage it can handle is to be seen. Wonderful.
Great job with this old 840! Love the old gear drive Macs! Please do some more vids of this nice saw in action. That helps me to bring back my 1-85 to life. She‘s already coughing ...

Love your energy! A Mercury pickup, awesome 😎, I love old stuff, it works better, and comes from the “before throwaway culture “ that us older folks are well aware of, new stuff is a scam, keep bringing it🤗
you are so bad ass. your the complete book of know how with all things concerning saws and trees. i really like how you let everyone know.(kindness, respect, say hello say goodbye) old school. keep up the good stuff. another saw head.
Never been so excited to see a chainsaw cut felt like a kid in a candy store that’s was fun can’t wait for next video hey buckin how cool would it be if when you got it running even better you payed it forward and did a contest with that saw as the giveaway think about it. As much as I love learning about logging people need to realize the most important lesson is the father son relationship and how that molds all of our futures from generation to generation with much love God bless you.
Gots me an ideer about the wire issue. Using the gas line seems like a good idea for a 'quick fix'. How about adding a piece of heat shrink tubing at either end to keep the gas line in place? Depending on the heat shrink tubing size & if it has glue inside to seal, you may even make it water resistant to a point. Keep up the good work Billy!
I couldn't imagine to be carrying that around back in the 70's around in the woods felling tree's. But that wood be a blast to operate for a while tho.
That’s awesome , I just bought a Poland model 54 gear drive last week , thing is freaking awesome , now to find a bigger bar and chain for it hopefully find something
Fun stuff,I have an old mac.I just got it running.Im having issues with my oiler to.I love your spirt, brings me back to your vids everytime I get a notice. Thanks bra
Hey bucking family from the okanagan and Billy i gotta tell yah that 125 is a beast and 27 pounds heavy saw but powerful saw i have only ran 1 once so i got lots of respect for that saw an fear as well cause it cuts super fast.
Welcome new subs! Would of loved to see Vic in a picture with you and your boy. He's been a big part of the channel and like a second son to you and your family.
Ok that's it!!! With chips like that,we need a smell cam!! Lol I just bought a direct gear drive saw an got it running yesterday on a spray...needs a carb build I'm so excited to get it going now too!!
I came across your channel a ways back. Just stumbled across it again today and love your personality and content. Keep it up Buck Ps love that old truck of yours
Now, Buckin' Billy Ray, You are showing signs of going soft (kind of like Mike Morgan over in PA.; sipping hot chocolate and playin' Candy Crush in the heated cab of a John Deere, instead of using a chain saw.) ..'Slap a little bar and chain oil on that stubble. We don't want to see you eventually take a "man purse" into the woods. You are truly a wild man, and funny as hell!. Thank you for your channel's message, and education in a true art. 'God bless you!
Good evening Mr. Buckin'. I was just wondering what size file it takes for those old 1/2 inch to 9/16 inch chains. I have about 5 of them I need to get sharpened. Thank you in advance. Love the up lifting you give this world.
I used to have an old Homelite 24” Super Wizz gear drive chain saw with a manual thumb pump chain Oiler. That thing would throw out chip as wide as my thumb nail and 1” long. It out cut any saw I’ve ever seen or used......to this day. I wish I still had it.
Hey buckin this is the zeller family from Millville NJ I appreciate all that you do for the mind body and soul we are new but we love you all thanks
I love how he calls all of his subscribers "friends" because you can tell this guy really means it and thinks of us all as his friends and family. A very rare trait amongst people nowadays

As much as I love learning about logging people need to realize the most important lesson is the father son relationship and how that molds all of our futures from generation to generation with much love God bless you.
What ever happened to McCulloch. I'm old enough to remember when the Mac10 motor was a great go-cart motor.
Now they're owned by Husquvarna, and made in China
@@feetoorourke So sad.
My dad told me about a go cart he had years back that had 2 McCullough motors on it. Said it was the scariest thing hear ever driven.
@@feetoorourke And Dolmar is now Ma hi ta
@@Cyverion haha 😄
Awesome saw. Nice to see Victor again. Hello Victor.
That is not SawDust, it is Kindling!! Terrific picture of father and son!
Like ur positive attitude all the time. We need more people like u.
I couldn't imagine to be carrying that around back in the 70's around in the woods felling tree's. But that wood be a blast to operate for a while tho.

Hi I'm from maine. Thanks for true love!!
To be able to wake up in the morning go out start the day hearing those bag pipes, I wish I lived that close
@Buckn’ Billy Ray Smith loving your channel my friend and that Ford is nice they don’t make nothing like it used to be subscribing
Purrrrrs like a kitten and crazy chips from that thing! Nice Buckin’ !
Loved gangies running the gear drive in moccasins! Great video keep it up!
