Tori is amazing! So cool to see a supportive dad (and family) nurture her talent and make the sacrifices that must have been made along the way. Much respect. Also, thrilled that I just ordered a set of the Sportsman camera/glasses and they are still honoring the "Tori" discount!! Can't wait to get them and try them out.
That was all I needed to motivate me to go shoot some steel this morning. Dang she's good. I can't imagine how good she will be in another 10 years. Those glass/ camera vids are awesome.
@travisglitts Thank you, Travis. The 34 she is using in this video is close to stock. It has a Wolff steel guide rod and reduced power spring. Also the grips have been stippled. Finally the internal springs were replaced with a competition pack from Wolff as well.
Totally awesome shooting. This was a match. Did she win? Of all the shooting gals on youtube, she is by far the best. She should do some more videos as soon as possible.
I always accidentally hit the release and the slide doesn't lock back. What do you use in comp? Glocks have the slide release close but many others you have to change the grip or use the other hand for, like for my Dlask 1911, I have pretty long fingers but I still need to do either of those to close the slide, so I usually rack it with my left hand
@jacobjeffreyson At the time of this ProAm, I think Tori was competing under USPSA Production rules/regs. One of the rules is that only 10 round mags are allowed.
@2238945gbs They decrease when under stress, not "turn to jelly" but still decrease. A trigger press isn't REALLY a fine motor skill, mag release might be, but like I said before, the Glock slide release was designed to be very small, it was designed as a combat handgun and soldiers are trained to use the overhand method instead of the slide release because of decreased fine motor skills.
@SaiVihtooMyint Tactical reload? I think she sometimes lets her gun run dry, that's when I've noticed the slide release method. In range practice, even though the release on Glocks are so small it is faster to release the slide with the slide release than the overhand method, but in a set scenario like competition I guess it'd be better, but you know what? The Glock wasn't meant to use the slide release other than after a safety check because it was designed as a combat gun, and during the CONT
@308Sharpie it could look like she's using the slide release, but also she could be counting her rounds mentally, and just before the last round and when she's moving she inserts a new mag. I wouldn't be shocked if that were the case though.
Wow, armed and beautiful, I bet her dad likes the armed part, no guy will break her heart. Is it just me or is her slide pink? Also does she actually use her slide release or does she use the "overhand" method?
@SaiVihtooMyint Stress of combat gross motor skills are what works, working the slide release is a fine motor skill so Gaston Glock designed the release to be VERY small
Nice Glock 34, are those the true glow, fiber optic sights, and what color is that, and it that dura coat, or or another type of finish? I like the 23 to compete with, the found the compact frames feel better to me than the full size frames, they 23 shoots better for me than the 22, I can't explain it but the 23 fits me better than the 17 or the 22, the strange part is I have large hands, you would think I prefer the 17 or 22, but I don't. 23 fits me like a glove.
@308Sharpie You are correct in your comment about fire motor skills a couple posts back. Don't know where the Marine below you is coming from but I can give you my input. I am also a former Marine, deployed with RCT-5 for a total of 34 months in combat and now currently a police officer. Marine corps trains overhand method and so does the state police academy. Any combat shooter should tell you the same. You drastically lost motor skills and gain tunnel vision....been there...experienced it.
@nbarranta Ive seen on other videos that she started at 11 or 12. But still, this kind of firearms handling isnt something Ive acquired after a decade. True talent and skill...and she stresses missing one shot ;)
@HavensRage Yeah I don't spew bullshit unless I'm just trying to piss people off (But usually I piss 'em off because I prove 'em wrong) Thanks for your service man, I hope to join my cities police service in the next few years (Glock 22 is the issue handgun) Got any suggestions for joining, training up etc?
My 13 yr old daughter is now getting into USPSA because of this video. Awesome Keep it up Tori

She looks as great as she shoots.

That was all I needed to motivate me to go shoot some steel this morning. Dang she's good. I can't imagine how good she will be in another 10 years. Those glass/ camera vids are awesome.
Her mag changes are insane. Aaron, you've got one hell of a daughter dude. You did good :)

Tori, incredible shooting with the model 34, your management of recoil is superb! Are you using a "stock" pistol or one modified for competition?
Outstanding shooting!
She had it custom finish purple her color as long as it hit well! Accuracy meet speed great shooter

Love the POV camera work! Hope my daughter shows some interest in shooting sports.
Thats the way to do it.
What caliber is the gun & are they factory rounds?
STUART B might be a 38 super.
@jacobjeffreyson At the time of this ProAm, I think Tori was competing under USPSA Production rules/regs. One of the rules is that only 10 round mags are allowed.
-- You go girl! -- I could've sworn that I heard some of that steel cry!
Aaron, I know she's been at it a while now, but any advice for getting youngin's into the competitive side of shooting?
It is crazy how her grip is always the same with how fast she is shooting . What sights does she use ?
love it
Just curious as to what made you add turn the page by mettalica to this video but cool.
Wow nice
Que costo tiene un curso de así soy de Colombia

She just keeps getting faster and more accurate! Looks like she's already giving Julie Goloski (Golob) and Jessica Abbate a run for their money...
