    As a tennis player for 35 years I liked nothing better than playing tournaments where I was so focused I experienced no time, no space, no self. Finally, I heard Rupert Sheldrake speak about sports as meditation and he led me to Rupert Spira. Even though I won a lot, the joy was not in winning but being in the “zone” with our creator.

      Rupert's pause is where God/source comes in through him to speak the truth.

    Wether it's called flow, hypnotic state or anything else.. that's a great explanation, so thorough, it makes much sense. Only I feel it's not true there's no self in true love as well as in any kind of enjoyment. There is always a self, only you can't really see it in that moment. It's all about where you really focus all of your attention onto..but your self always remains there, only you can't be aware of it because all your attention is indeed focused on a specific point. And then yeah, clearly no time or distance or duality really exist there, nor any concept about awareness itself. There's no problem in getting lost in our partner's eyes or in a bungee jumping session..but it's also good to 'come back home', and meditation's a good way to do it.

    That's why I adore craft, diving into Eternity. Thanx, Rupert❤️You enriched my understanding of the Reality and our Nature. I can't find anything more valuable in life than exploring myself and the Reality behind the visible picture. And the most amazing - the Reality is not hiding, it's shining with "I am".

    Time exists and is the speed of change of any form and phenomenon and this speed of change is independent of our mind, of the observer.
    However we have a very subjective sense of the time ( how much lasts every phenomenon)
    The experience of how much lasts every phenomenon it depends on our psychological state.
    For example, It will seem to us that the day has passed quickly or slowly according our psychological state of that day

    • @Kroko84
      @Kroko84 4 роки тому

      Indeed, and I think Spira did really well to explain how the sense of time vanishes when focus is so intently on a single object that there is no space for thought to use different objects as points of reference for creating the subjective sense of time.

    In studies it is shown that this focused flow state increases brain activity by up to %40 compared to the average %10 most humans use. The moment one utilizes their brain the way one desires, one experiences bliss(the total opposite of suffering).

    What about the “opposite” where we the task is so familiar - driving home - that we dont focus at all and wonder how we suddenly arrive at our building. Isn’t that an example of being “totally distracted” rather than totally focused (on our driving). Enquiring minds need to ask

    Ask a person who believes there is no self this: What evidence would you require to be convinced that there is a self? I guarantee they won't be able to answer, because they will accept no evidence because they've already made up their mind. Ask them this: If emotions, thoughts, intentions and consciousness doesn't convince you you are a self then what would convince you? Ask: Do I need to not have emotions, thoughts, intentions and consciousness in order to be a self? Do I need to be a brick to be a self or something? Only these kinds of questions have a chance of planting seeds and waking them up. Argumentation just will not work. You need to create doubt in them and get them to reason within themselves, True enlightenment is becoming more aware of of just how much of a self you are and just how amazing and transcendent consciousness is. It shows there truly is an ultimate mind behind the universe (namely God), who is also personal.

    Rupert is right! But I wonder if This type of enjoyment or passion is a young mans game? It is really unconvenrional and abit weird to see a 50- or 60year Old man or women totally loose sense of time and space to by passionately be in the now, don't you think?

      I am 55 now and have had this my whole life in all kinds of activities: completely loosing track of time because all my attention is on what I am doing. Often being late because of that, annoying my parents when I was young and at this age considered quiet weird in the eyes of people like you.

    hum...I wonder why jocks by nature aren't more spiritual?

    • @allywelly6173
      @allywelly6173 5 років тому +2

      Just because they live on the surface of themselves in everyday life doesn't mean at play they are not spiritual. Like the lady said, she forgot: felt as if she had missed out on the event. Mind was not present. Only after the event did she notice the time had passed and the dovetail was complete. Maybe that is how jocks feel about sport. They are not aware that they are involved in a spiritual practice, but they love sport and the way it makes them feel: they are in the moment. They chase a ball, we meditate. 🙂

    Do any of the culture followers of god-men or spiritual gurus ever ask themselves where exactly are those information or answers coming from... ? Mentalists. You believe another human being has answers somehow not accessible to others and somehow have an answer to everything? There isn't a question they couldn't answer... Isn't that a little odd?

  • @MrCeppino
    @MrCeppino Рік тому

    Not correct, I am afraid. She could have just been zoning out or worse be dissociating, which is a mental condition. A similar experience seems also to be happening in some kind of deep meditative absorption, like entering the Janas. But that is sought after, not accidental. During the flow, like in sport, people do enter the zone, but their awareness is 100% present and they remember the experience very well. As a matter of fact they can analyse their own performance and recognise what they did right or wrong to the most extreme details (even on specific points during a 4 hr game like in tennis for example). It is the sense that there is a "separate self" performing that is lost. There is only the game and a witness. They do not suddenly wake up after the game like out of deep sleep and go like: oh my God did I just won a game of tennis?

      Holy fucking shit. You've done it. You've truly done it. It's been three months now, but the story of your conquest remains etched on the walls and will be remembered throughout history. It has been a personal honor and indeed a high point of my life to witness this truly marvelous achievement. Again, congratulations. May the world never forget what you've done for all of us by typing "first" underneath a video on the internet that will be seen by at least several more people in this lifetime. Wow. Absolutely brilliant.
      "First!"
      It saddens me to think of all the great minds that have come and gone too early to have witnessed this crowning achievement of human literature. William Shakespeare sheds a single tear from his small corner in heaven. By God, it is truly a blessing to be alive to see this.
      Markus Hultqvist, you will forever be "first", in my book. May God bless you for gracing us with your brilliance and your little touch of genius here. I don't know what else there remains to say, but "Thank You."
