I do kinda feel like Yorick is a ELO boosting champ. And I would know because I mained Yorick in season 8-9. And I went from silver to gold in season 8, and gold to plat in season 9.
At the beginning of season 10. I get Plat 1, 62 LP peak with Yorick.
And then I pick up Kayle, for the rest of the season, and I drop to gold 1-2 and I can't get past gold. I pick up my first main again, Daruis, and I can't get into plat again.
Once you learn Yorick. You just fly threw the ranks until you hit like diamond. Yorick is never played, but got damn does he feel like a Riven.
I annually hold a 60%+ WR with Yorick. Ever season. Iv never fallen below a 55% WR with yorick. But other champs, that I have just as much time in, I have around a 50%-52% WR.

I think it’s because mechanically yoricks skill floor is probably the lowest in the game. Maiden and ghouls are usually more than half your damage, especially in close kiting fights like vs Elite under tower -slog only landed one Q and was just tethering the rest of the time while maiden and ghouls killed him. Obviously hitting E and W takes some skill but beyond that, your champion kinda plays itself in terms of outputting damage. So you just worry about macro and about surviving incoming damage which you have more brain power to dedicate towards because you aren’t trying to hit enemies with a combo
