I have always wanted to figure out how to make the infinite runner type of boss fight, I'm on a camping trip rn but when I get back and wrap up the exe tutorial series I'll start figuring that out.
@@Sup_Studio_GamesI know exactly how! To make a running boss fight, you gotta try making that the BG moves, using Background System Box(All can be seen in LakeFeperd's video)

I stumbled across its pre release while trying to find the best engine for beginners as I am very new to this, and with a lot of features. It seems similar just more updated. As redux has controller support while I’m not able to get controller support on simple special edition. So I would like to know if you would still recommend the special edition even after a year. Because there are a LOOOOOOOOT of 2D Sonic engines you could use. Such as the hatch game engine which has not been talked about much, but other fan games such as Sonic Galatic uses it. (Sorry that was a lot btw)
So I checked it out and I'd say this version of Redux and Special Edition are close to the same thing, they both take things for Delta Worlds (Delta Worlds is like the Adam and Eve of all these Sonic Engines) and import them into Simple Sonic Worlds, I will say Redux does have a completely different startup and menu which was really cool and new ngl. I also noticed they had some Mania sprites in there which was cool too. What I will say is right now they are just close enough to being the same thing, but if Redux is only in its pre-release phase than I'm sure it will have way more in the future, so maybe stay updated with the progress on Redux and soon it'll become better than Special Edition.
Well of course you do what ever you want. If it's like SOH where after a certain amount of lives lost you get a bad ending then when player lives equal 0 you can make it go to another bad ending frame.
@@Sup_Studio_Games That’s great, if I want to add title to the act or to the frame like, Hill act 1 before the frame starts like the old sonic classic games, what should I do, I have sprite sheets for this but I don’t know which font does they have and how they made the title before the act starts, I searched a lot of these clickteam tutorials but I didn’t find what I want, Can you help me?
I'll probably make a short tutorial about this in the future but for now what I'll say is that what you can do if make a new layer and make it the main front layer and put the sprites on there. To ensure the player wont move during this time at the start of the frame you can disable the groups "Movement", "Animation", and "Control" under the Player group. After a few seconds have them either fade out or move away from the screen and fade out the black background by have an always event set the Semi transparency effect of the object to be the value of the semi transparency effect minus 1. Once it's completely faded out you can active those groups from before to allow the player to move and that's how to do it simplified, again I will make a short tutorial about this in the future some day so don't panic too much if you can't understand it from what I described.

I haven't heard of that but I did just find it after looking for it. I'll check it out tomorrow and see what I think.
