I'm 100% here with you. The medium of comics is all about the expression of story through the depicted images. If you're not going to put a premium on that, my question would be why not make it prose?
Right?! It turns out Rebecca Guay does more than just Elves and Lands. Not sure how she never got to do a version of Shivan Dragon, but she definitely knows her way around a firebreather. Thanks for checking this out!
I play commander every friday night... I love commander. I would have to say she is one of my favorites. I love Steve Argyle (Liliana of the veil and Deathrite Shaman), Jesper Eising (Ayula, Queen Among Bears), and Terese Nielsen (Natural Order, Pattern of Rebirth) as well. A few Rebecca pieces that I love is her Path to Exile, Wood Elves, Priest of Titania, and Carpet of flowers. She also got a Secret Lair spotlighting her art, we also had this treatment with Fiona Staples (who does the art for comic Saga). With knowing this I had to find myself a copy and add it to my collection, this legit didn't even show up on my radar. Comic artist that I love is Jim Lee, Ryan Stegman, Mark Bagley, and Freddie Williams to name a few.
That's awesome! I've seen you keeping David in line on OPB Whatnots for a while, didn't know you were also a Commander player. Who's your go-to deck these days? Some awesome choices you listed there, I'd also add Seb McKinnon to my list. Did you know Jen Bartel also had a Secret Lair drop a few years ago? Cool that magic has been embracing the comic world and comic artists so much recently.
@@bunkmastab Oh yes, I enjoy helping David out on Whatnot. Those shows are a blast to do/watch. After checking it out I remembered the secret lair because of Bloom Tender. My favorite deck has Ayula, Queen Among Bears as its commander, other wise known as Bearforce One. I actually make content on commander decks on my channel. My latest deck was 15 dollar commander deck headed by Thrun the breaker of silence, wanted to show that you don't need a expensive to win games.
