I don't know if this modification to the piston and cylinder is worth the effort. This cylinder feeds the transfers mostly through the channels on side, not through the piston windows. I think that the windowless piston would work the same in this setup.
I like Chinese chainsaws because I think they are a great value for the price. I have several Chinese saws, one almost in every category - small 25cc tophandle, 37cc and 40.1cc (the ones with the fuel and oil tanks in the right hand handle), then 4500 model and 5200 model. They cut great for my needs, if one knows how to tune the carb. Out of the box they all were set way too rich. @@MrHangerone
