If crank and cam correlation code, that means the timing chain could be off. This will not cause an overheating issue. Fail water pump not circulating, bad thermostat not opening, radiator fan not working properly, faulty engine coolant temp sensor, clogged radiator and (leaking) low coolant. These are the issues will make the car overheating.
If crank and cam are bad car will not start sometime. If lifter is making ticking noise that's mean the lifter are bad, kinda hard to find out which specifically lifter is bad, just replace all lifters. Lack of power because lifter is bad, not lifting the valve on time or delay. Make sure oil level is enough and use the right oil spec.
Does this sensor require the PCM to relearn the crankshaft variations?
