    Fed’s style was unmatched, top 3 outifts in tennis history.. ICONIC. Federer used to thrive on agassi’s pace, and use it to create even more pace to smash winners. Fed’s footwork, balance, shotmaking, and hunger to win, made it practically impossible for agassi to win. Sure agassi was old but was arguably playing some of the best tennis of his life. Agassi was beating everyone else that year except for fed and nadal (montreal final CLASSIC)

      His age slowed him down though. Not moving as well as he used to. And slightly over weight.

      That's just false and you know it. Agassi doesn't have a 100% record against other players.
      Federer fans don't mind him beating a near retired 35 year old with a bad back and can barely move yet crying 'grandpa' Federer at 28.

    There's just something way more badass about being the GOAT on fast/ medium paced courts (Federer) than being the best on slow-as-molasses courts (Djokodal)

    Taking nothing away from Roger, who was great as always... it is eye-opening to look back at these clips of Andre, knowing now how much pain he was in with his back during those last couple of seasons. It's particularly apparent in his walk.

    • @vijayla21
      @vijayla21 3 місяці тому

      Exactly, Fed fans usually complain that their idol is grandpa at 28 yet have no problem with beating a near retired 35 year old Agassi who could barely walk

    This was one of the greatest matches I've ever seen (a recording of): incredible ball striking and shot making, with thankfully--for an ex-player who once considered going on the tour--numerous rallies shown from player level (rather than the usual "birds-eye view" which doesn't let you see the shots and strategy from the player's perspective).

    Ill pick agassi anytime, he is more fun to watch, takes the ball early or on the rise. He is 35 by this time, played against 3 generations of players and succeded. Played 3 generations of racket technology and showed that his ground strokes and talent was intergenerational. If he was at his prime and played and trained in this generation he would be the most fun player to watch out there. Dont want to watch much tennis anymore because players nowadays tend to whack balls way behind the baseline, theyre great but theyre also monotonous.

    Federer flukes a lot of shots. Example: at 2:41 his return went short accidentally because he hooked the ball with the top of his racquet. Everyone thought it was intentional, but it wasn't.

    • @Chris-xc4rv
      @Chris-xc4rv 3 місяці тому +1

      That wasn't a fluke, he took it early so he wouldn't have to slice the return. Taking it early created the shorter angle. Not his fault agassi couldn't get to it.
