Thank you I have wondered how to fly with my bag. I have had it a year and am a nurse who works and swims and lives a normal lifestyle just haven’t flown yet- looks as easy as I imagined it! Life is so much easier with a stoma!! Thank you for sharing how great our lives are without our illnesses that brought us here!
I’m letting my stoma stop me from doing most things, it depresses me so much but it’s saved my life. Your amazing and I’m looking at things differently now
I have c9me across your site by chance. Thank you for giving detailed talk and showing the stoma and bag. My stona is flush with the body due to having resites and the surgeon did say that whatever little colon was left was stuck inside by tummy so difficult to pull out to create a protuding stoma which would hang in the bag giving less leakages. Being flush means i easily get leakages which often require frequent changes and sore skin. Due to mobility problems i cannot stand long enough to change my bag. Glad i have come across your blog as i know i will get in touch if i need advice on any future problems.
Absolute legend. I have Ulcerative Colitis, I don't have a stoma but I still struggle and you help me become less anxious when out and about. Thanks my man ❤
new ostomate here--I had such a hard time flying with a stoma! I love this video. The floor is so gross--how do you empty your bag without kneeling on the floor?
How come you have one?. Just wondering not judging or anything. Just wondering what do people need to have or conditions to get a stoma bag or need one.
Anything is possible with a stoma. I travel a lot and never experienced gas in my bag. I have had a stoma for 11 years and I can literally do anything. I could not do things in the past because I was always looking for a toilet 😳. However I was recently operated due to a pouch and my recent stoma sometimes produces more output which is annoying. I wish I had my old stoma 😢
Can I ask what is it like for you to be constipated or backed up and feeling that type of pressure and do you experience that for instance the way I Feel sometimes when I’m backed up is like this bursting pain of gas that can’t escape along with so much waste that hasn’t made its way out and it just hurts like a bitch obviously I sit on the toilet but I literally sit there for a full hour because of how much pain and how much shifting and moving my body is doing just to get all of that shit out literally😂
Thank you so much for sharing and raising awareness, ❤ it really shows we all are different and we really do need each other in whatever way it may be

That’s amazing. Just curious, can you swim what sort of thing do you have to use so your bag don’t come off

Put toilet paper on the floor where your knees will go so the touch wont be direct
you could try kinda bending over while also bending your knees to get on level
Luckily I'm on 5ft so I can empty my stoma bag stood up.. I don't need kneel x
You can sit and spread your legs
May God see u thru the healing...

Pardon Sir, but do you not have rectus, like others??? Please forgive me if I couldn't understand what's going on with you! 😳😓
Does the support belt increase the likelihood of a blowout? Anyting that's tight across my ileostomy tends to want to cause a blowout
What’s a blowup? Do you mean sounds?
hie where did you get your support bag
Would love more info on the support belt
I would've appreciated a more thorough hand wash but I'm a little neat freak I guess.
Good job!
I had my reversal and so happy life is now back to normal!

If your bag & stoma are flattened by the support belt your wearing doesn't it course leaks or pancaking
Genuine question, why dont they just make them bigger and with stronger seals?
