Carlos I think instigated some of the most joyful rugby I’ve seen in my whole life. It didn’t always come off but the times it worked made the misses worth it.

So much respect for Carlos! He’s such an under rated coach too. He was a major influence on some of the South African teams when he was coaching the Lions with Johan Ackerman and his successor.

We love King Carlos here in South Africa,really admired those skills aand out of the box thinking.We always wanted our backs to play more like him and Quade Cooper but the coaches just wouldnt allow it.Huge respect from us Boertjies

Some of the rugby Carlos played in the mid nineties with Auckland and then the Blues was just unreal. Im not sure there was another player on the planet who played with such skill and with such abandon. It was sublime to watch
