That Glamlite Cake palette is tempting on so many levels! 😋 💕 Still, I'm feeling like I need to spend some time with other palettes I already own first before buying anything new, so restraint is the name of the game at the moment. I really need to pick up at least one Glam Lite food palette. They're so whimsical & from what I've seen the shadows are really bright & pigmented too.
I feel similarly towards "topper" shades. Just give me a shimmer, duochrome/multichrome or a metallic. I don't need sheer crystalline pellets falling in my eyes & on my face. K thanks. Save it for the bottom of a fish tank.

Omg weeks ago I was in Glamlite website and I was going to get the Cake palette because saw do8many reviews on it but then I said that they had the Paint Palette for limited time only so I got that one instead. I already used it once and omg I love it so good. Now i see you ranked it as first and I wanna go and purchase it. I just spent quite some $ already but maybe later in the future I'll get the Cake palette love the packaging 😍.

I bought the JH V 2 it was my purchase for April, I just got this past week and I have to say I really really like it here in CDA it was just over 60 with shipping was a Morphe product worth that much idk the palette itself was 50.00 even idk what the cost is USD but I like it . I’m having fun with it I won’t lie I tried to do your look and let’s just say that I am a work in progress lol. Makeup period is an expensive hobby and here it’s an even more expensive but you know it makes me happy and when I think I look pretty I feel better so that’s a win right there for me . I hope you are doing okay and feel okay I know I myself suffer with depression and lately it’s been more of a struggle I won’t lie , everyday I used to get excited to play with my makeup. Now it’s like nah I don’t feel like it I’m still watching your content when a video pops up I get excited I think almost everyone is struggling right now it’s a sad scary time and I also think , the media is definitely taking this for all it’s worth I wonder how much they are blowing out of proportion to scare us to keep watching more you know what I mean . Your eyes are everything!! Stunning! Is it sad that I watched like all the videos on these?! Lol I need to get out of the house. Am I alone in thinking the gold in blood lust is hot garbage? I tried to do an Egyptian cat eye with the gold and the green and I was plastering it on and it just wasn't showing up. I am pretty pale too so, idk. I love the rest of them.
I have been using that gold as a topper shade, it really isn't good on it's own. I was surprised since gold is such a common color, I thought that would mean it is easier to formulate.

I appreciate what you said about the 1st palette. I personally have my go to neutrals. I am more attracted to colorful palettes. But, everytime I do a neutral look It turns out really pretty & I'm usually happy with it. That 1st palette actually looks really pretty. & of course I know you are NOT about neutrals Annette. But ,May I say I've seen you wear them only once or twice for the sake of a video. and You looked gorgeous. Just sayin😍

I ordered the glamlite cake palette after watching you. I'm hoping I can create some great looks. IDK if I'm getting more confident or just simply getting better from practice and all your wonderful advice but I think I have gotten much better at creating some beautiful colorful looks. Notice I said creating ( like my own combinations) not copying from tutorials anymore. Is it true that you are doing a collaboration with a make-up brand and creating an eye palette? I have been hoping for that for awhile now. I would definitely be first in line to get it. For one I think you deserve it as I have made it abundantly clear I think you are one of a kind absolutely amazing with the looks you create. Second I believe you are truthful. You tell it looks or it is good or bad and last but not least I just know the color story of a palette that you would have a hand in creating would be super exciting very colorful and the color payoff would be out of this world. I so love this series from you! I'm glad I skipped on the Elysian (spell check) palette. I lusted over that so hard, but I haven't seen anyone love the formula. That's why I like to wait as long as I can instead of buying right when things release. I'll end up with an overwhelming amount of palettes that are not even that great. Not healthy for me, I want to enjoy every bit of everything I have. Anyway stay safe, your eye look is gorgeous as always.
Thank you for the Smokey Glow review because I had so many issues with that palette but I felt like I was the only one!! I love Smokey Glow/Hannah, but the palette is not my favorite.

Love your honesty. I was thinking about buying the Elysium palette too, but now I'm sure it's a pass for me. You saved my wallet so many times lol ^_^ but on the other hand, now I'm strongly tempted by new and coming Menagerie palettes :D (I suspect it's your collab coming, the mysterious one heehee)

I 100% agree on # 10. I was actually super disappointed because I've heard SO much abput how amazing the shadows are..they aren't bad but they aren't buttery smooth blendable dream squares either. Idk. I expected colorpop and got wetnwild shadow circa 2005

I am so attracted to it. I think it's a bit overpriced considering you dont get the same amount of shadow for each shade. & from what I've seen. most peoples favorites are the little pans. I may eventually get the glamlite taco palette but I want to get to know some of the palettes I already own before buying more. I don’t want to get overwhelmed with too many palette purchases so I’m trying to limit how many I take it. I get some in Boxycharm so that adds to my stash too. 😅
I understand feeling less confident about companies with "drama," but just a heads up: no makeup, skincare, or item that goes on or in the human body is "cruelty free." It is required that any product for human use be safety tested on low level (like mice), then higher level (like rhesus monkey or beagle) animals as part of the process before human testing and release.
Any company that claims to be "cruelty free" simply outsources the testing to another group or makes the product in a country with less safe testing requirements. Legally, that company can say that they are "cruelty free" because they do not personally do the testing.
This is just how the law works in order to protect consumers against potentially harmful ingredients and dodgy production.
Regardless, good vid, had a fun time seeing someone else's experience with some of these palettes! Keep it up!

Duuude i rmbr when youtube didn't have people like you so lotta drag queens taught me how to do makeup. The cake palette is so underrated. Formulas are easy to blend and colorful. Looove glamlite. Thanks for your thoughts😊

I thought the Morphe palette just wasn't vegan anymore? Is it not cruelty free anymore either?
Im pretty sure there are red dyes in it that contain carmine, and carmine is what makes a lot of eyeshadows not cruelty free
There was drama surrounding it due to morphe not disclosing the Iast minute ngredients change to Jaclyn. She had tweeted about it at some point but I'm sure there are drama channels that covered it more in depth.
It stoped being vegan and didnt inform the costumers about the change in formula. Something being cruelty free is not the same as being vegan. Some vegan formulated products are not cruelty free and some cf are not vegan. Technically Morphe still is cruelty free but the palette is not vegan anymore.
(Personally ive never liked the formula of their shadows)
@@AnnettesMakeupCorner Not vegan. Vegan and cruelty free are different. Cruelty free just means the product wasn't tested on animals and vegan means there are no animal products in the ingredients.
