Fascinating record of a thriving and bustling town in the mid sixties, I'd be nine and remember it well.
The loss of the Michelin, the coal, ceramic and steel industry has hit the whole of Stoke and Newcastle very hard, next to nothing left in Newcastle now, so quite why the council are buildin a new car park is a bit of a mystery, thanks for the upload, ironic that the buildings that replaced the Municipal hall have both now gone.

Now literally deserted and almost dead. I can't believe the cinema was where roughly the Wine Vaults (now a real estate agents) was. I think the council has a lot to answer for the state of the town today.
