@@mike55btz Good feedback Mike. As an update, we ended up going with a Landice L7. The technogym, despite all it's features and some positive notes like the one you provided, just didn't have the warranty (Landice is lifetime on the ENTIRE treadmill) and a big issue was the inability to actually get on it and test it out, whereas the Landice was available to test out in a local sporting goods shop not far from our house. it got really solid reviews when I researched it, felt really good when we tested it out, had all of the features my wife was really looking for and it's just really hard to beat a lifetime warranty on every part on the unit, so that's what we ended up going with. Now admittedly, it's not Zwift integrated (yet). It does broadcast bluetooth and works with Run social, including allowing Run Social to adjust incline automatically, but it's not there with Zwift at this time. It's interesting because Zwift does pick up the signal it's broadcasting, but it's super spotty and doesn't function properly, so I had to grab a Zwiftpod to make things work. Wife isn't all that interested in Zwift after all, so turns out it's just me using it in Zwift, and I can't run anyway (bone on bone in right knee...knee replacement will be forthcoming at some point in the future), so I end up just fast walking and for what I'm doing, the pod and auto adjusting my incline is probably good enough.

Still no smart treadmills that automatically change speed to keep you centered? Seems possible if its long enough for some wiggle room for it to adjust, surprised there are none still. Hi Shane, thanks for a great video. Did you end up installing or having a 20A outlet available for the MyRun, or did you plug it in to a standard 15A wall outlet? Thanks!
I had a dedicated 20A intalled. Reason was for the motor initial startup under load. I didnt even try it at 15a shared... It might work if you only have the treadmill on that 15a circuit. in USA btw.
I wonder if you could get a cheap non zwift treadmill and then put a magnet on the belt and use a bike cadence sensor and then tune the digital wheel size until it works and yes your avatar would be a bike but it would be cheap.

G'day Frank. Zwift Australia have borrowed the MyRun unit a few months back, and still have it. So unfortunately that's about it for my run content for a while.
No worries, my bad! If you'll get it back, would be nice if you could drop a line. Have you done some accuracy runs with the Stryd Footpod? How accurate is the speed? Any experiences? Does it deliver the 20 km/h top speed? I am hesitating price wise, but I would go for it is quite silent and if it delivers the speed from the specs.
I have some data on pods. The MyRun and TreadTracker track well. Foot pods.... are estimates. Some can be good when calibrated. TechnoGym should have test run locations. I'd ping them on this.

This is a few years old now. TechnoGym took this unit back and haven’t been in contact after I reviewed their substandard indoor bike trainer not soon after this.
@@gplama Sounds like poor form, considering how many of these treadmills your review likely moved for them. Thanks for the response and insight as well.
Would a third party treadmill ever have a similar option to the wahoo climb for cycling but for running? I heard your point on speed controls being a danger, but like the wahoo climb, it would only coordinate the up and down of the treadmill device. Any thoughts?
1) Do you need a Footpod for this to interface with Zwift when running on Technogym MyRun? 2) Does your run resistance on the MyRun treadmill controlled by Zwift (just like on the indoor bike trainer Tacx Neo)? Thanks!
Would you still recommend this for someone looking for a home treadmill? Really need something to keep me going especially during this virus lock-down. Its between this and an exercise bike and not sure what to go for. Really just to keep fit and lose weight. Thanks if you have the time to reply.
Hi Shane, thanks so much for the video it was really helpful I have a simple question, did you need a table to see the zwift on the tv? I do not see the tablet... or is it possible to connect the my run directly to Apple tb 4K zwift app? Thanks very much!!
Direct to the AppleTV works. Here's a setup overview (for bikes... just replace the trainer/bike with a BLE treadmill or footpod): ua-cam.com/video/UH16y0ACKwA/v-deo.html
Hi Shane! thanks so much, sorry but i am not really good on tech... When I talked to Technogym Spain, they told me that if you want to see the Zwift on a screen, you need first to launch it on a iPad or iPhone, and then stream it into a TV screen (via cable, air play, etc.. using if you want the apple tv 4k) But from your message i understood that you can connect Myrun direct to the Apple TV without Zwift phone app or iPad app, because you load it from the app in the Apple TV... Maybe it is me, sorry to trouble you again and thanks for your great job! BR carlos
@@gplama Hi Shane! thanks so much. Do you think that a tecnogym my run (i might buy it used) bought in 2019, manufacturing date 06/2018, will also interact with zwift and others? externally it is the same, and i assume software can be updated... i asked technogym, but they do not seem to be specialised on zwift, garmin, etc... thanks again for your help! maybe i should ask Zwift...
What's the slowest speed you can walk at on Zwift? I bought an under desk treadmill yesterday to use while working, but I can only concentrate at 1 mile per hour. I read somewhere that min speed is 2 mph.
I bought a Garmin ANT+ footpod and calibrated it to the lowest speed available in the calibration page - 4.5 kmph. Min Speed in game I can do, without coming to a stop, is 2.6 kmph (~1.6 mph). A bit quick for walking while typing, but perfect for walking while on conference calls or reading.
Jump over to the Zwift Runners Facebook group, maybe even Slowtwitch forums. There's going to be people there with a lot more experience than I have with the lower end models.
Just curious if you pair a treadmill with auto incline function with zwift, does it automatically adjust its gradient/incline when running on a hill in zwift?
I heard woodway was good and I'm sure they are but their 4front treadmill is $20,000. Shane I would love fo you to do more reviews on treadmills and thoughts on the differences between eg the my run from technogym and the 4front from woodway. What does paying 4 times the price get you.
Bam! 20K! Crikey! I'll do what I can in regard to treadmills. There's a lot more tech being crammed into them these days, and compatibility with things like Zwift Run is important, especially at that price point. The limiter being the size of the damn things.
the 4front starts around $11,000 US dollars. we just bought one for my gym at work. we have 4 at the gym i go to so i drove really hard to get one at my work gym. my personal review of the 4front is that is like nothing ive ever ran on. its like running on the backs of angels. it takes nearly all the shock out of running. the thing is very pricey, but its design is all about injury prevention and being easier on your body. and the thing is the quietest thing ive ever heard. its pricey and its not something you're going to find in peoples homes unless you have the money for it.
Looks awesome. You will be running half marathons in no time. I'm interested to see how much you do end up using it: I recall you saying that you don't generally enjoy running (cf bike riding)
I've entered an 8k fun run this Sunday... and it's 8degC here tomorrow. It'll be getting some use for sure. Long term I don't know. I'm seeing small improvements and there's a ton of tech to look into that gives me a reason to put the running shoes on. (It's also a really neat clothes rack... my hoodie is hanging on it right now!)
any ideas on how to best measure speed on a treadmill? I only have access to ones at my local gym so I have no idea if calibrated?? Last time I tried treadmill was way faster than what my speed as measured by my rhythm 24 was giving me. not sure which one to believe or how to calibrate it? any thoughts. thanks, dale
Hi Shane, thanks a lot for the video! Quick question: Does Zwift change the incline of tthe MyRUN treadmill according to the incline of the course? And could it change the pace of the treadmill according to a predefined training? Thanks, Frank
No, there's no interactivity with the unit incline or speed. I suspect there won't be.... maybe for a while? The liability of throwing people off the back of these is a lot higher risk compared to smart trainers for bikes where the worst thing that can happen is you stop pedalling.
I just bought a myrun treadmill and I can't match it to zwift, I have seen in your video that you do it with the Appel Tv, I have tried it with the IPad and with Appel tv and I can't do it. Any recommendation? Thank you very much, greetings
How did you find the length of the running surface? If I understood you correct your ~180cm high, and myruns running surface is ~140cm? a bit short maybe? I like the myrun due to the efficent size, but are worried im too tall at 184cm.
Well I am at 195 cm and hoping to get one. I ran on one briefly and seemed fine. The belt is 143 cm long which compares pretty well with 156 cm of the Life Fitness gym quality ones I use at my gym. On those I always tend to run towards the front and the times thought would go back a bit seemed loads of room. Also as the console is very minimal on the MYRUN I think you can run "forward" anyway.
@@TimGrose hello. I am 6’3’´(1m90): do you think the length is enough (especially for speed work)? Have you purchase one? What is your feedback on the clearance ? Thanks a lot !
@@pierrecantet6720 Have had one bit over 2 years now. Not fallen off yet and do sometimes get it up to max 20 kph speed - albeit not for long! As I mentioned before, I noticed the other day I tend to run "forward" so briefly slided back a bit on the MYRUN and was still fine.
Hi!!! I want to buy this treadmill but I want to know if the treadmill increases the slope when the route in Zwift is uphill, thank you for the information
Hi Shane - this is awesome. How has your experience been with this treadmill? I can't find anything on it and this is pretty compact for my place. Have you found this to be reliable and what's your thoughts 2 years later? Many thanks from the US!

@@gplama haha - that is funny they took it away so fast - the sales rep definitely sent me this video in the materials (demonstrating the set up). hard to find reviews out there on this - thank you for the reply!
Interesting video thanks. Might be interested in a mid range treadmill but get my exercise from the bike these days and not convinced it's worth it. As a matter of interest do you think cycling and running are compatible because I am under the impression it is better to stick to one or the other and cycling is of course easier on the knees especially as you get older.
Lots of people do both to a certain extent these days. I think of myself as a runner primarily but have done lots of bike time trial races as well. And of course both on Zwift. It largely depends what interests you.
That's not all that helpful advice when it's pissing down with sideways rain here today.... and outside is where I have been running, so it's also awkward being told to get outside.
I like running outdoors when I can too. But with shift work and 40 degree days and ridiculous UV readings much of the year in north west Queensland where I live, running outdoors is often not an option.
@@gplama I love it best pissing rain outside while running, but I am looking to get a treadmill for my parents because they hate going to gym and want to do some exercising at home. Are there options out there with the same quality and size build that is cheaper?

@@gplama Sounds like poor form, considering how many of these treadmills your review likely moved for them. Thanks for the response and insight as well.
Would a third party treadmill ever have a similar option to the wahoo climb for cycling but for running? I heard your point on speed controls being a danger, but like the wahoo climb, it would only coordinate the up and down of the treadmill device. Any thoughts?
There’s no reason it shouldn’t interact with gradients. That’s up to Zwift to implement.
Does this support Apple Gymkit? How do you sync your stats with your watch/phone?
When dat tacx magnum review coming 😈
1) Do you need a Footpod for this to interface with Zwift when running on Technogym MyRun?
2) Does your run resistance on the MyRun treadmill controlled by Zwift (just like on the indoor bike trainer Tacx Neo)?
Thanks!
No footpod needed. No control by Zwift.
Hello. Thank you for your review. I am 6’3´´ (1m90): do you think the length is enough (especially for speed work) ? Thanks a lot.
One for TechnoGym. I have no idea sorry.
Would you still recommend this for someone looking for a home treadmill? Really need something to keep me going especially during this virus lock-down. Its between this and an exercise bike and not sure what to go for. Really just to keep fit and lose weight. Thanks if you have the time to reply.
Sure. It’s quite expensive though.
Hi Shane, thanks so much for the video it was really helpful
I have a simple question, did you need a table to see the zwift on the tv?
BR carlos
@@carlosalvarez-cascos5922 Zwift will work on just an AppleTV. Technogym need to learn how their product works/interacts with software such as Zwift.
@@carlosalvarez-cascos5922 Best ask Zwift Support on this one, yes.
What's the slowest speed you can walk at on Zwift? I bought an under desk treadmill yesterday to use while working, but I can only concentrate at 1 mile per hour. I read somewhere that min speed is 2 mph.
In theory 0.1 mph (or 0.1 kph). It largely depends on what you are using as a speed source and how stable it is conveying the speed.
The Milestone Pods are hard to get last time I had a go. There’s one sold here in Australia through Athletes Foot but haven’t checked it’s details.
It’s a rebranded Milestone, identical hardware.
Shane Miller - GPLama From my quick look I thought so but hadn’t looked at the specifics. Great to know thanks.
Mate interested in a cheaper treadmill for the wife, cheaper option however. Where do I start? 500-1000$ range?
Jump over to the Zwift Runners Facebook group, maybe even Slowtwitch forums. There's going to be people there with a lot more experience than I have with the lower end models.
look for second hand machines. Lots of people buy new ones thinking they will use them andnever do.
Just curious if you pair a treadmill with auto incline function with zwift, does it automatically adjust its gradient/incline when running on a hill in zwift?
Not that I'm aware of.
I like how he is logging miles in zwift without being on the treadmill ahhahah
Looks awesome. You will be running half marathons in no time. I'm interested to see how much you do end up using it: I recall you saying that you don't generally enjoy running (cf bike riding)
I've entered an 8k fun run this Sunday... and it's 8degC here tomorrow. It'll be getting some use for sure. Long term I don't know. I'm seeing small improvements and there's a ton of tech to look into that gives me a reason to put the running shoes on. (It's also a really neat clothes rack... my hoodie is hanging on it right now!)
Shane Miller - GPLama getting cold in Vic. Not a patch on much of Europe and North America is what I try to remind myself
Would this still be the treadmill that you would choose?
What about a rubber slat treadmill?
Best visit a local sports store and test what they have in stock.
Nice unit. Shame about the price tag.
any ideas on how to best measure speed on a treadmill? I only have access to ones at my local gym so I have no idea if calibrated?? Last time I tried treadmill was way faster than what my speed as measured by my rhythm 24 was giving me. not sure which one to believe or how to calibrate it? any thoughts.
thanks,
dale
Treadmill speed is a nightmare. Join the Zwift Run group on FB and search up previous posts.
@@gplama thanks I will
so after several years…should i buy it?
Hi Shane, thanks a lot for the video! Quick question: Does Zwift change the incline of tthe MyRUN treadmill according to the incline of the course? And could it change the pace of the treadmill according to a predefined training? Thanks, Frank
No, there's no interactivity with the unit incline or speed. I suspect there won't be.... maybe for a while? The liability of throwing people off the back of these is a lot higher risk compared to smart trainers for bikes where the worst thing that can happen is you stop pedalling.
Shane Miller - GPLama Thanks a Lot - I was afraid to hear that. I guess you are right, liability might be the issue...
I just bought a myrun treadmill and I can't match it to zwift, I have seen in your video that you do it with the Appel Tv, I have tried it with the IPad and with Appel tv and I can't do it. Any recommendation? Thank you very much, greetings
Best contact Zwift Support. I no longer have this unit.
@@gplama why
@@mohammedsaleh7974 TechnoGym took all their equipment back after I reviewed their indoor bike trainer. It wasn't great.
@@gplama do you recommend i buy it is it good
@shane do you think I will be better waiting for the Peloton Tread+, or will this be good?
No idea on the Peloton product sorry.
Ciao, is it possible to connect the Apple Watch to the Technogym MyRun ?
I don't believe so. One for TechnoGym Support to get the direct answer for the latest firmwares/features/etc.
@@TimGrose thank you for sharing your experience. I am aiming to fall not too often !
Hello Shane please i buy today MyRun ...you connect Apple TV direct with Bluetooth MyRun ?? and download from apple tv zwift Apps ? Thx
Yes.
What’s the make of fan please?
Hi. Can you comment on your longterm experience with this unit.
This was a media/loaner unit. They took it back not long after I did a review of their MyCycling indoor trainer they weren't pleased with.
did you buy it in the end? What are your thoughts on it now if you did? worth the money?
I didn't go with anything. Indoor running.... just didn't keep me hooked.
Hi!!! I want to buy this treadmill but I want to know if the treadmill increases the slope when the route in Zwift is uphill, thank you for the information
No it doesn’t.
@@gplama Thank you, then....only is useful to share the speed and distance to zwift?
@@DavidDiaz-cp5bt Yes.
Hi Shane - this is awesome. How has your experience been with this treadmill? I can't find anything on it and this is pretty compact for my place. Have you found this to be reliable and what's your thoughts 2 years later? Many thanks from the US!
TechnoGym took this back not too soon after my review. They were pretty unhappy with my technical review of their indoor cycling trainer..... and I haven't heard from them since. 🤷🏻♂️
@@gplama haha - that is funny they took it away so fast - the sales rep definitely sent me this video in the materials (demonstrating the set up). hard to find reviews out there on this - thank you for the reply!
Too expensive 3200€
Interesting video thanks. Might be interested in a mid range treadmill but get my exercise from the bike these days and not convinced it's worth it. As a matter of interest do you think cycling and running are compatible because I am under the impression it is better to stick to one or the other and cycling is of course easier on the knees especially as you get older.
Lots of people do both to a certain extent these days. I think of myself as a runner primarily but have done lots of bike time trial races as well. And of course both on Zwift. It largely depends what interests you.
So, did you buy it or return it? If you returned it, what did you end up with?
It was a six month loan. They have it back. I no longer have a treadmill.
Does the MyRun treadmill auto adjust the gradient during a Zwift run?
No
Hey mate - you find any other Treadmills in Australia that work with zwift?
I haven't been searching. As long as the specs state the treadmill transmits pace/speed over Bluetooth (or ANT+) it should be good to go.
how is the shock absorption?
3.2 K euro here... better pricing anywhere?
Hey Shane, u happy with the Myrun TM ? for 3,2K worth the money?
It did the job for what I used it for. It was only a 6 month loaner. It sure I’d pay that kind of $ myself for it.
Shane - love your stuff but seriously, try running out doors
That's not all that helpful advice when it's pissing down with sideways rain here today.... and outside is where I have been running, so it's also awkward being told to get outside.
I like running outdoors when I can too. But with shift work and 40 degree days and ridiculous UV readings much of the year in north west Queensland where I live, running outdoors is often not an option.
@@gplama I love it best pissing rain outside while running, but I am looking to get a treadmill for my parents because they hate going to gym and want to do some exercising at home. I guess this would be a good option? I am hoping this would be quality built and will last my more then 5 years. What do you think of other treadmill options? I love that the size is so small. Are there options out there with the same quality and size build that is cheaper?
Short questions: Is it rollable? How is the noise at full speed compared to Kickr 1?
It's near on impossible to move. It's heavy. It does have roller wheels. Full speed noise.... the Kickr would be louder.
That was quick, thx a lot! Noisewise very good, bad that it doesn't roll at all.
Frank Wechsel FYI it does have rollers at the front so not too bad (as far as treadmills go) to move around in the room.
Perfect. Shane mentioned this already above. But good to know that you can roll it from room to room.
Thanks for the tutorial, for some reason I thought you were taller ;-)
hi on which firmware is your MyRun treadmill? My one is found in the MyRun App but not in Zwift...
I no longer have the MyRun so I can't check sorry. Best reboot it and make sure nothing else is connected to the Bluetooth on the MyRun before opening Zwift.
ok thanks I‘ll try
Why did you take the time that you were on your phone and the time it took to start running into consideration for the installation?
I can't remember what I did last week.... trying to answer this on a video that's four years old is impossible.
Did you check any other connected Treadmill?
No
Do you still need the foot pod for zwift on the technogym myrun?
No. It transmits that information from the treadmill itself.
Hi, you dont need the pod
Gday Shane, what is it like to run on?
For me, just like any other commercial treadmil.
I‘m 6‘2“ and thats the upper limit for sure. It‘s cushioning is ok, not great.
And it‘s a loud bitch, both in the room and in the apartment below. You better have soundproofed the ground below.

See Zwift website
Can you export the data to gpx?
From Zwift? That saves activities as FIT files.
@@gplama Yes as you use swift you can get it out, otherwise technogym with their mywellness are like parasites. they are very keen on fetching data from zwift, garmin strava and so on. but to my best knowledge they have spent a lot of coding time making sure you can not export any data from their devices. So for example if I go and train on my gym that has technogym machines. It gets in to my wellness. but there is no way to export that to gpx it fit. I think Garmin and all other brands should lock them out. if they don't share why should garmin share with them. ( yes I am angry and bitter) if I could I would buy technogym and sack their whole management.
