Hey all! I hope this doesn't sound like complaining, sometimes art doesn't look like it did in your head... and that's OK! I think it's fun to show my process and thoughts! OK BYE!
Being aware and critical of your art progress and inspirations isn't always a bad thing. In your case, it seems to help you along, whether it's do better the next time or to keep in mind for the future. You always put so much care into your pieces and are thoughtful to your audience so it honestly didn't come off too much like complaining. You're all good there, Kasey! Another great prompt as usual, and I love the variety of projects you're doing for these pieces ♥
Madame Kasey, I am so emotional. You nailed this one. The ideas, the happy lil ghosties, the unique materials, the papercraft, the Posca colors - it all makes this so enjoyable to look at, and it seems like it would be so much fun to make. I know people flood you with compliments all the time, and people call you inspiring in every video, but I hope you realize how meaningful that is! When people say it over and over the words lose meaning, but you should be proud that you affect people so positively. You've reignited my joy of creating just for the sake of creating. Thank you for your content (: (PS, I actually love your "negativity!" Even when you're beating yourself up over something or lamenting a "failure," you still have a cheerful voice. It just strikes me as honest, and every creator knows what it's like to hate their way through a piece (; )
The overwhelming feeling of relief I felt when I saw a brand new video from you was a little nuts. I've been bingeing your videos and I'm almost to the end of the line, it's not okay :| THANK YOU KASEY for having the coolest art style and sharing it with us!!
take a shot every time Kasey says something is a copout. Also, this was really good and I think you did the prompt justice, it doesn't matter how simple your art is as long as you complete the prompt.
Honestly I feel you with the whole InkTober Huevember thing, cause I decided on a whim a few days after finishing InkTober that I'd do Huevember, and man. Probably won't be doing that again next year! Haha. I've been going very simple for Huevember though, and it's not all bad! And also, I love the way these turned out honestly! I think they look really cute
Aleena A Huevember’s basically Inktober, where you make a drawing every day of the month, except there’s a specific list of hues/colours to follow instead of drawing prompts! (and you can use prompts as well, the emphasis is just on the hues)
I know you think this one's a cop-out... but the combo of the posca pens and the cutouts are super lovely and the colors are so clean and satisfying with the translucent ghosty paper :)
so cute ! im if youre worried about the glue showing through the vellum, try double tack! its like a clear sheet of double sided sticky tape that is used a lot in paper cut art and i love it!
Never ever stop the paper work obsession. Hahahhaa. I loved the clouds, they look soooooooooo fluffy and everything pops out so beatifully. The balloons and everything... Oh, I just loved everything. I'm so obsessed with your obsession that the other day I've ve made a little paperwork illustration for my huevember. Even though I discovered (duh) that I'm no Kasey Golden with this papercraft, I just loved the different textures and levels it gives to the illustration.
Both illustrations and the idea of "ghost watching" are so dang cute and I love them! Don't be so harsh to yourself, you're doing a great job and I love it to be able to see how you're creating your artworks ♥
I've learned that the best way to adhere vellum is to... well, hide the adhesive. If you buy a strong liquid adhesive that comes in a needlepoint bottle (or that you can transfer into one) you can put small dots of the glue behind the areas that you won't see through such as like on these guys, the eyes, and generally as long as you're careful it will hold them in place pretty well!
I like them, they’re very simple and cute and as you said they would fit nicely on a white wall to add a pop of colour. Every prompt can’t be your best/most creative, especially not after 1,5 month of a «drawin every day» kind of challenge. I enjoyed watching it and I love seeing your huevemver pieces on your twitter and instagram
I love these, especially thE night one. Even if you think it's "too simple" or a "cop-out" i'm still super impressed with the variety of materials and just how well it all comes together. SUPER EPICCC :)
Grandma Golden! 🤣😂🤣😂 I really like the backgrounds for both pieces. But what really excited me was your sketch of many ghosts. It would be really cool if you considered doing a ghost party illustration next Halloween. I truly love these large pieces.
I loveeeeee the simplicity and how cute it is a suggestion for the sun set if you make the little lines (blending) on both sidesof the big color block hope that made sense i love your art style
I'm sad you are still pretty critical of your work, it looks great! I love how you did the background and the ghosts are ADORABLE. I don't think its bad that you're critical of it, no one can change your feelings. I think your burnout is manifesting more in your mind than in your art if that makes sense. I hope you are able to take a good break soon! You deserve it.
Hi Kasey! I've been following you for a few months and it was last week when I started to watch this 500 prompts challenge. I must say I'm totally obsessed with it! I've watched all the videos in a row like if it was a new series or something, anyway I love your art and being a preschool teacher I must say if you ever make a children book I will defined buy it for my children. Your illustrations are just so lovely an cute :)
I think that as long as you took inspiration from the prompts that it's all good! I love all the prompts that you do and even if you don't think they turn out well, I do! Keep it up, and take a break if you feel to much burn out :D
Vellum is amazing!!! I use it for stained glass all the time because it's pretty water resistant so it stays on the glass when I grind it to fit the pattern
Drifblim is a ghost Pokémon Air ballon that you could have made ! :) i wish I could have your artworks in some way from the drawing Pokémon from memory challenge because despite what you think i find it amazingly surprising, fun and cute !! It seems like you could have just used greaseproof paper for the ghost at least the material you used looks very much like greaseproof paper, I don't know 🤷🏼♂️ and since you already bought it, it was a very good idea I think !! Anyway, I really appreciate your work as an artist and UA-camr and you seem very devoted which is very pleasant !!
The sky you did reminds me of the skies they do in the Netflix show Hilda. It is pretty simple both in design and animation but that's something I love about the show and your art. + I've neber been so early, haha Sending much love from Germany xx
Kasey I understand your pain!!! My art teacher has been making my class do daily drawings for the rest of the school year. I am getting through huevember but then next month apparently going to be architecture based. I guess I can stay positive and motivated knowing that you and my friends are going through the same thing. Good luck with everything and keep up the good work!
i feel like anything that involves cutting out a bunch of paper isn’t a cop-out! we’ve been doing so many projects in my design class that i’ve had to cut out pieces for and it can get really difficult 😭
Hope you aren't experiencing too much burnout, Kasey! I know how rough that can be on the creative mind. I think your posca pen skies(They're great) saved the prompt😂 But ya know, not every prompt will turn out be SUPER EPIC, which is what makes you human and entertaining as an artist on UA-cam😊
I like the darker version it just seems more put together, I don’t have the money to log into a patron account but who knows maybe someday. Good luck and keep on drawing!
If you get a glue pen, line a fine liner glue pen you can put glue on the line work you do on the vellum paper. That's what a lot of card artist do like on the Lawn Fawn channel.

And still you're doing a good job. Watching you do art feels like asmr to me.
I loved it! It would have looked cool either way!
I thought this was super cute!!! You did a great job!
The anxiety when you erase the lines from the _very_ thin paper
Ah yes, my favorite hobby, giving my audience anxiety!
Oh gosh now I remember what happend yesterday ;-;

These are the cutest goddamn things ever! You say you didn't pull off the cute simplicity but you totally did!!
Ah, thanks! :')

I love your techniques. I need to comment more on your videos they are so cute.
Aw, thanks! I appreciate my viewers, even the lurkers!
Ohhh I love the layered paper for the clouds!

Honestly? My favorite one of these prompts so far. I love skies, simple shapes/colors, three dimensional art, and characters with simple faces. 17/10
For the record I think these are adorable! I love these simple but skilled illustrations and the idea of ghost watching!
I absolutely love your ‘3D paper’ phase!!! 😂 they’re AMAZING
Love the sky blend. Oh, working with vellum, they sell frosted adhesive that doesn't show through. I love it.
That little ghost going to the front from behind the back of the paper was soooooo cool looking and smart!
no need to feel guilty! these inspire me so much, you don't have to go over the top each week!
dude this is honestly one of my favorites of your 500 prompt challenge. it’s so cute!

It can't be a cop-out when it's this amazing!
This is actually one of my favourites.
It just feels so calm
I really like the effect that the glue gives the ghosts! It looks like they’re actually transparent!
Honestly at this point the paper craft prompts are a new era of KaseythePrompt
Who else immediately thought of Drifblim?

Rainbow Gaming And Other Things a Pokémon from gen 4 I believe that is a ghost but looks like a hotair balloon
