- I take a close look at the Giant Loop Diablo Tank bag and mount it on the Husqvarna Norden 901. Get you bag on Amazon here with my affiliate link: amzn.to/3x6N8xL I find it fits great! I also did a little color change from orange to yellow to match my bike.
As long as that yellow is pretty much spot on the exact same as the yellow on the bike, it's a really nice touch. If not, well...
I made sure it matched exactly. I had to layer a transparent yellow over white to get it just right.
Beautifully done video - Thanks for taking us along.
Love the vinyl appliqué!
nice one
Nice review, Michael! Good job with dealing with the unsightly rear straps. I love the modification of the graphics using yellow vinyl! I just received my gray GL Diablo Tank Bag yesterday, and would like to cover the orange with yellow to better match my Norden as well. Where did you source the yellow vinyl, and is there a specific color code?
+1
Oracal 8300 Transparent Vinyl in Brimstone yellow overlaid on white vinyl is the closest match I could make. You can order just their non transparent Oracal 651 Vinyl in Brimstone Yellow but it looks just a little darker.

how did you tint the aux lights ?
great video!
Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I made a video on how to tint them Look at my other videos for the exact process and spray paint. They are still holding up great
What is the size of the bag? I'm not sure if you mentioned it.
6 liters. rear height 6.5″ (17 cm), front height 3.5″ (9 cm), 8.25″ W x 12.25” L (21 cm W x 31 cm L).
Thanks for the video. I'm curious what those two D-rings are for that live on top of the base but under the bag. They don't appear to have a purpose other than maybe having something to hold onto when tightening the lower straps but that doesn't require D-rings.
Those are for Giant Loop Pannier Pockets. from what I heard on another UA-cam video
Let's hear about that pegboard setup! Is it wrapped in vinyl of some sort? Looks clean!
Thanks, Yes it is just Cheap pegboard that I covered with silver vinyl. I then only punched the holes through for the pegs I wanted to add.
How did the tank bag work out over the whole season?
I love this tank bag. It's perfect
Just curious if you considered the 901 specific bags from factory accessory catalog. Magnetic tank bag looks good but not sure how secure or functional. The matching panniers and tail bag they offer are nice but companies like Tusk and Giant Loop are tough to beat for quality, function, and price. Not getting my 901 until later this year. Appreciate your work with getting a new model sorted.
That Husqvarna tank bag is not available for a few months. I did consider it. With the Diablo strapping in its is secure. No magnets are used with it. I do like the Tusk bags and would have ordered their tank bag but it was back ordered until June. Glad I got the Giant Loop
I have one I'm my norden and my 890r
Hi Michael, I'm tossing around the idea of the Diablo or the Fandango which is 2L more capacity and just 1.5" taller to carry some camera gear.....any thoughts on the Fandango as it's only $8 more lol but might but too unsightly on the bike.
It might be worth it to fit the camera gear. I think it will be a little tall looking and not look as pleasant. But sometimes functionality is most important. I sat on the bike and could see the gauges just fine with extra room to spare so I don't think it would block your view unless you are very short and the seat is in the low position it might come close.
@@nordenamerica Good thoughts! Although I am "looks" conscious, functionality will always win lol. Cheers
you in SLC area? We should ride...
I’m in Saratoga Springs. Sounds fun let’s get together
@@nordenamerica my Buddy rides an 890 Rally, he just found a killer road to the towers above your house. I'm still on break-in for another 300 miles, but I may putts around Sunday to add miles, easy street I think, if you'd like to join. You doing more street, dirt or single track?
@@chucklesthefireguy5356 Did you get past break in yet? I would love to get together and ride one weekend. Let me know if you head down this way. I haven't taken this Norden to the top of Lake Mountain yet so that would be fun. I like to ride both road and trail. I know a good path down to Little Moad and around to the old Tintic tunnel down this side of the lake.
@@nordenamerica how can I get int touch?
@@nordenamerica not sure message stuck, how can I get in touch? email? or?
BEWARE - don't put your phone in the clear window pocket. It will overheat in 10 minutes in the sun. -I put my ADV flag in there to protect the stuff beneath.
