I shouldve known Gigas wasnt returning, the way they made him so bad to discourage people from playing him. Now they gave all his moves to Jack-8.
Gigas Is a failed desing as a character. He should never Comeback unless he gets a total redesign.
To easily label your tiers:
Akuma tier - because akuma good.
A tier - super good characters.
B tier - not as good as A, but tournament viable.
C tier - mastery of game fundamentals required for full potential of these characters.
E tier - not only mastery of fundamentals, but also dedication to these characters and their playstyles is required which can be tiresome.
Don't know what to label F tier.
DVJ has been done dirty with the nerfs. Meanwhile Feng got overbuffed despite him being cheap af.
All the tierlist clamining DVJ was still Top tier after uf4 nerfs were bullshit from either non mishima players or edgy kaz players who hate DVJ.

I'm guessing placing Devil Jin so low is so that Namco hopefully buffs him because there's no way he's bottom 10. He's no longer a top tier but him being below Eddy is just nuts
i too hope he gets buffed, but it actually isnt crazy to say hes bottom 10 right now since he doesnt have a threatening mid to mix up with his hellsweep anymore, demon paw only does 24 damage and everything else is reactable or unsafe

Good tier list but I don’t see how Anna is that strong especially when King, Bob, Lili and many more are below her. probably because Qassim’s Anna is a nightmare 😂
Anna is a great character for shorts games, like in tournament settings but in longer games or deathmatch She Is a very risky character because the opponent has Time to learn your tendencies AND mixups
Anna is stronger than Bob and Lili, maybe equal to King.

Ive seen so many “experts” trash Anna for such a long time now, based on her risky gameplay. But the fact is, she has always been great in tournaments with her Insane 50/50 and pressure, so i agree with her positioning in this tier list. This tier list is about actual tournament performance by pro players, not bookish drame knowledge and how a character is “supposed to be on paper”
As Arslan said: tier lists r region dependent. If no one plays a certain character to their potential in a particular region, then that region won't value the character, etc.
Eliza and Bryan r next to each other, but in the last EU tier list I saw. Bryan is top 10, Eliza is bottom 40. Because in Pakistan, Eliza players will wall to wall 10f punish combo u with the hardest combos, then rob u at the wall before u can even think about the "lack of good pokes"

As a nina main played against top level zafinas online like Tekken God omega rank , Finds easy easier to kill zafina with nina.. somehow she's also good against akuma..
Honest question, what's your criteria for the tierlist? it's confusing to understand some of the reasons why some are in certain positions.
Im not into tekken but i can understand that its because of the availability of moves and counters idk what 1 2 3 4 means 😂 but i know urdu.
Probably first is his own style of play and second how the pros play.
Akuma isnt his tournament main but he is definitely other pro's main so hes a fixed highest tier char.

I have to say though, there have been some pretty hardcore nerfs across the board.
Master Raven wall combo nerf was especially peak. 💘

Master Raven's max wall combo damage was not nerfed. Uf3+4 4 2 nerf is pretty insignificant for her because of btb2 3+4 to qcf12 still is the max damage

Dvj never was the strongest in the game in any season. Though he is garbage now
I think DVJ is way too low.
He still has EWGF the best move in the game (they increased its tracking in S2 and made its whiff recovery faster in S3)
Still has the best hellsweep in the game (fast unseeable low launcher)
Still has b4 a safe mid launcher and a great move for oki (hits grounded and flips over)
Still has u4 a powerful panic move that evades highs and lows, and can evade mids too, and launches on hit
And many other good tools.
He may not be top 10, but he's not that far. He's better than a LOT of characters that were placed above him.
I think that bob was best character and he is 100 percent present in tekken 8
He is expendable. He's just a fat character who does Kung Fu and rolls around on the floor like Sonic, it's not funny, it's just bad

4:52 I'm very glad you brought this up, Arslan. It's the reason I think Steve is at the pinnacle of the tiers as well. I don't downplay this character at all despite maining him. In Tekken, having to close the distance naturally is *So* much more difficult than having moves and/or stances that "Accessorize" movement. Only utilising forward dashes and the occasional fast move to encroach on space leaves you at a huge disadvantage. The reason I think Steve is one of the absolute best characters is not because I think he has the best counterhits in the game. I actually don't think that's true. It's that Steve has access to the safest, and most natural variance on his timing, and his forward movement. Albatross, Albatross Down 2, Duck in, Duck in Fox Hunt, Sway, Peekaboo, 121 duck in, 121 Flicker British Lancer, down forward 1 duck in, Flicker 1 Albatross, Over the Ropes Up forward 1. Steve has so many ways of naturally threatening attacks that allow you to push forward either on Infinites, or control and corral the enemy to the walls on regular stages.
Moves or stances that naturally allow you to control forward space are a lot more powerful than moves that are plus believe it or not, because this is a 3D fighting game where knowing how to retreat is heavily rewarded. That being said, moves that allow you to present offence *While* *Also* cutting their retreat short have huge upsides. Steve also has Back Sway, and Sway Left/Right. These can help mitigate the retaliation of using a minus on block move.
Steve has *Stances* not moves, *STANCES* that encroach forward space, which means you can present offence... Or you can just encroach space and encourage the opponent to respond without actually having to actualise the threat you present. I could duck in Fox Hunt for the counterhit. I could duck in forward 2. I could Albatross down 2. Or I *Could* just do nothing at all. And that's what makes Steve so powerful at high level. His ability to present genuine threat while moving forward, *And* not having to commit either. He doesn't even have to throw a punch and can still present threats worth trying to respond to because he's pushing your back towards the wall each time.
Couldn't agree more, i being a steve main can affirm whatever you said above. It is so hard to neutrailize opponents who are just using keep out moves, whereas steve can steamroll that style of play.

Anna much better than nina? 😮.... I've learned anna 95%... I'm eddy main but use anna whenever eddy is not working... Anna has great mix ups but nina has literally 2 times more mix ups than anna.... And it takes double time and practice to master nina as compared to anna.... As anna player i can say nina has more versatile and mix ups and hard to master ✌️.... Literally get confused against nina players they keey mashing and mashing 😂😂....
And eddy has almost 5% safe moves and rest are allah bharosay 😂😂😂... Handstand and rlx are launch punishable 😂... But it's alot of fun to play with eddy 😂😂

Basically pretty good. Just curious about DVJ. Has a launching hellsweep, UF4 and a sick electric. Has good poking. Should be higher I think.
I think his mids except uf4 is not worth standing for. Better to just duck reactively when you see him try to attack.

IMO the reason why he was top tier before the uf4 nerf is because he had crazy mixups with good neutral tools now after the nerf the risk reward on his uf4 is very weak which was the main mid tool to check ducking and it was safe. now since the uf4 now no more knocksdown i would much rather eat an uf4 thn getting hell sweeped not to mention ht uf4 on hit pushes back the opponent a lil bit and doesnt knowckdown anymore . now obviously you can still go crazy wtih dj with the u4's and ws2's but those are not safe and risky and defeats the whole point of being safe while still getting heavily rewarded for the correct reads.
man dj is so weak after the nerfs, i couldnt belive people placing him that low too and then i tried to play him. Try it you will have no idea what to do when enemies start ducking you and punishing your u4
The poking is good but after the nerfs, it's much harder to mix-up and get momentum.

majority of tekken community will agree with that, its based on how many tools does character have and how good matchups they have, other then that he said he made the tier list according to Pakistani tekken as where he mostly practice !

True but consider an hypothetical universe where one was able to master all of them then that would creat powerlevels for all of the characters meaning one is better then the other. Hence some are worse then other characters
I respect your tier list but Jack 7 and Bob are much higher. A good Tekken player can reach finals with them and they can even be his main.

How is Dragunov that low. A character that was top tier in Season 1 is just beneath everybody he used to smack around. Plus they buffed his wall carry and reverted some of the nerfs. I don't see how 90% of the roster moved above him.
Running 2 tracking made a huge difference also everyone got stronger since season 1. But even then i dont think he's that bad but anyway im no arslan ash so what do i know
