Can anyone relate to this? I truly wish I could live in a world made of the feeling that this song brings. It’s one of my dreams in life to figure out how to imbue art in any medium with the same pure emotion that is woven into this song. I think that there is something embedded in the structure of this song, baked into its DNA, that is inherently evocative of the most profound and intense nostalgia. These vibrations of air, these waves of sound shoot right through my ears, straight into my brain and ripple throughout my entire torso, leaving my consciousness totally saturated in this magical, mysterious, intoxicating mixture of warm, bright bliss & thick, smothering heartache. I’m electrified. There’s a deep emotional pain accompanied by a physical ache that I can actually feel dispersing in my chest, abdomen & throat, causing my breathing to shift, the hairs on my arms to stand straight up, chills everywhere. However, there’s also a sweet & beautiful joy. Nostalgia may not even be the right word…I had no history with this song whatsoever, but from the first moment I heard it, this tidal wave of sadness and joy tore straight through me and I still feel it to this day. That feeling is only amplified by time, now. Now, as a result of the passage of time, there really is a true nostalgia that is evoked by this song, but even when it was brand new to me, I felt it. There’s just something magical about this gorgeous piece of art that resonates with so many people…I don’t know how they did it, but I’m just so grateful that they did. Music can absolutely be life changing. In the same way that, say, a video of an innocent baby suffering from neglect would elicit the feeling of sadness in virtually anybody on this planet, regardless of age, culture, race, etc., I think that this song has the effect of eliciting a unique feeling of Joy combined with sadness in nearly everybody who hears it. At least, I hope I’m right. Because I want to create worlds & art that allows people to feel what this music here makes me feel.

Just the picture gives me intense nostaliga, like when you wake up at around 12:00 AM as a 5 yr old and seeing that the movie isn't playing, or a little thing is bouncing across the screen, while your in your grandparents room, in the bed with your gramma and your uncle that's a year older than you or this picture is just there.
