Cillit Bang bathroom cleaner, does it really work? Review of Cillit Bang Bathroom, limescale cleaner. Bathrooms, Sinks, Toilet & Showers review for 2021
My wife and I are smokers. We had our rooms painted, but before it could be painted the nicotine had to be removed from the walls. Our painter recommended "Bang" and it worked perfectly. I figure if it can do that it should work great in the bathroom.
I sprayed it in the corners and wiped it off with kitchen roll, but now ive got a sore throat and still a smell of cillit bang in my room, is it toxic to breathe in the smell of it? I’ve left the windows open all day but still strong smell and im worried is it dangerous?
Except it hasn’t? The grout areas are still discoloured (which is the entire point of the product) and soap and warm water would have got rid of the rest just as well… also not sure why you’re blaming all the mess on your fam? Do you not shower yourself…? 🤣
How long you waited after applying the bang before you started to rub? (on my bottle it says to wait 20 sec. and not longer than 5 min. because the corrosive effect) so i waited 20 sec. started rubbing and 0% effect!!! Now i found from google that i have to wait at least 10 min... (even 15 min. for 100%) ...so what about that not over 5 min? The point why i ask is because i don't want it to eat up my bathroom sink tap rubber seals and silicone (between sink and the wall tiles)and there's too much different information so i decided to ask someone who has tried it out already (i just don't want to risk waiting 15 min. and then have to go and start looking for plumber to fix up my sink). Thanks in advance :) a yeah ... i forgot to add... my sink was wet when i applied it... do i have to wait when the sink is dry and do it then?
Vinegar is great for cleaning, the same for baking soda. But using them together is not a good idea. Check about the chemical reaction and the low effect caused by mixing them.

I recommend proper gloves... Had the linescale remover and removed some layers of my thumb even with thin plastic gloves!
Cilit bang got new improved formula. All you need just apply and was off..but i felt my hand got very dry, yes better to use gloves.

Have u try using vinegar & baking soda?
Vinegar is great for cleaning, the same for baking soda. But using them together is not a good idea. Check about the chemical reaction and the low effect caused by mixing them.
Use gloves and open the windows while cleaning
