- How I made 3 different bases in 3 different ways all in about 3 hours each. The name of the game is simple quick bases as a palate cleanser. I wanted to make something and try out new texture pastes that I've been collecting for a while without learning on a larger build and ruining it lol.

Nice bases. The asphalt looked great using the AK Interactive texture paste and weathering.

Brilliant result on these bases! I don’t know why I have never considered using bark chips to build a rock face, and it looks great. I will be raiding my garden tomorrow for sure. I also like the idea of using cork sheet for the base for roads, or building up an area on a diorama base. Excellent use of these materials, and I will certainly be trying these techniques. I don't know about iPhones, but I've had phones that when recording in 4K can get warm fast .if they are in a case, they get warm even faster. Some phones have thermal sensors that will auto-stop recording to prevent damage to the phone if it gets above a certain temperature.
Might be something to check out. If it is overheating, then I would recommend you take your phone out of the case and as added protection, you can buy really cheap heat-syncs that you can just stick on to stuff. you can set up some sort of mount for your phone that includes the heat syncs and allows for good thermal conductivity.
That’s a good point I hadn’t considered heat I’ll have to try to feel the phone when I notice it has issues.
What product did you use for your static grass for the third base?
It might be more interesting to use error correction tape on the marking lines
