A word of warning. That's not really how latex masking should be used. You should remove all of the masking. Over the next few months, the latex will continue to shrink and all the paint on top of it will crack. Eventually (years) the latex will become a gummy, sticky mess, that you wish you never used and your awesome diorama will be a lot less awesome. In special effects and props, latex is used for quick, accurate body safe molds. With a shelf life of weeks/months. The material just doesn't hold up over time. Sorry. I didn't want to be 'that guy'.

I like the rust effects. I'm gonna be the harsh critic... You MUST have some kindof veneer or something on your base. My eye immediately goes to the foam and the borders with uneven paint. It's tedious work, but it makes a world of difference. Also spin the drum next time or at least fill the gap. The rocks are cool. Im not sure about that latex trick. I can see that degrading over time.

That OSL looks great, I would've added some bullet impacts to the invoronment as well, like clouds of dust kicked up on the floor or behind him or even the barrel taking a hit. To tie it all together, but that's just me. Keep up the good work!

I love it! Thanks Were the paint colors used the same in all three bases? I ask because, for a more “apples to apples” approach, the paints/washes used in all three would have been identical to each other.

Hope that intro doesn't leave your analytics with a big drop off at 13 seconds 😆. Hairspray chipping a base is a new one, haven't seen that before but totally makes sense. I agree with your assessment, the middle-ground (no pun intended) seems like best bang for the buck.

The loophole should be way smaller on the outside of the building. Go watch Boomer Diorama. He will save you a load of money making your scenes, opened my eyes for adhesives, and textures.

Very nice job! Although I haven’t tried it yet I’m a huge fan of using insulation foam to make dioramas with. That stuff is dirt cheap and you can buy a sheet of it that lasts a long time. I love building models, but by the same token, I hate how expensive some things have gotten in the past few years and anything that helps bring down the cost I am 100% for. 👍👍
