Thank you for this. My family gathered in White Springs for a reunion and to go to the festival for many years. I'm listening to the channel as I write. A musician said, "Remember, what is history for some are beloved memories for others." That's what this is for me.
Like my ol' man used to say, "Gamble's like a hillbilly with a dictionary stuck in his mouth"! I'm missing them both a whole lot right now. Don't know whether to cry or laugh. Think I'll do both just to be safe.
@@tomsampson8084 Thank you sir. When I was 12 my Dad used to play him on his "hi-fi" he had built while he was in college. Asked my dad for a guitar. He got me one. Now I'm 62 and have 10.
What a treasure to hear a wonderful musician and storyteller. I hope I can find him on cd or other medium. I want to share his experience with my children.
We are blessed to know this great music to share

I think I will join you. He was a great man and musician - terrible loss.

This is AWESOME!!! I love Gamble Rogers. The way he passed away was tragic and yet beautiful.
holy smokes, I just remembered that me and my son took guitar lessons from his son Chuck...
Florida can claim him as it’s most precious treasure, a difficult feat these days.
I was there!
Thanks for putting this up here! For those of us who never got to see him this is an invaluable resource!
One of a kind; the kind you're lucky to see once in a lifetime.
Great personality, great musician . One of a kind
I saw him in Chicago at The Earl Of Old Town in the late 70s or maybe early 80s. He was a riot!
What a likeable fellow!! Thank you Gamble Rogers!!! Love your stories, love your music!!!
Sure miss Gamble.
If you can catch David Beede live you will see the next best thing to Gamble reincarnated.
@@neillofgren1115 I'm thinking you may be hallucinating Neil ... ;~)... but thanks for the undeserved compliment anyway.
Oh, how I miss my friend Gamble. UNIQUE!
Am 62. Grew up with this troubadour. My father and Gamble are both gone know. Tears of joy are all I've left.
✨☮️❣️🙏🌻🐊🎵✨ Peace of God… in loving memory.

Incredible 👏👏👏
LEGEND
This is gold, thank you.
If Gamble Rogers had lived, he would most certainly have been a Grand Ole Opry member. He had the stuff for Opry. Great Personality. A brilliant mind.
