I have South Atlantic and it looks similar to me. I think the key will be in how often Orbx will make updates. Hopefully more often than Razbam that have the map almost frozen.

Fjords, mountains and valleys with lakes have lots of potential for creating THE best scenery out of all maps. The level of detail outside of high detail areas is pretty much same as on Nevada map. Going to wait another 6-12 months. Hopefully it will get more finished since it would be a pity if it would not. Until then I am fine with Nevada, Caucasus, Syria, Persian Gulf and Normandy.

I’m waiting for a similar video to be done in a rotor at low level before I spend that kind of money on an highly unfinished map. Satellite imagery always falls apart when you get in the weeds.

There’s no satellite imagery yet, it’s all basic texturing still unlike what was first planned.

Looks already finished, yes low lever look in Rotor would be good but potentially this could be one of the most dynamic maps with many options, not just flat like the middle East. There is also enough Sea to the North in order to deploy Aircraft Carries and other Naval Assets. Also its an alternative to the Caucuses which we need, to may desert maps.
I also think it has potential. Today but I think the priority should be to increase the amount of bases. So people would start using it. Thanks for the comment man! Seeya 🍻
Vi em uma live ontem que as partes dos fiordes ainda ta com textura massinha e as partes das planícies perto das cidades ta bem bonita! Igual da para ver ai no seu video! Acho que o erro deles foi colocar muita sombra nas texturas, de longe ta muito bonito! No geral gostei do mapa. Mas essa parada da textura de perto só vai ficar bom mesmo quando colocarem um Tesselation na engine.
E aí man. Poisé, de longe é muito bonito, mas qdo vamos chegando perto fica estranho. Perde até um pouco da profundidade. Mas eu tbm gostei dele no geral, pelo menos da parte oeste, onde há mais montanhas hehehe. Vlw bro. Obrigado ae! Tmj 🍻😎

Nice video. How do you zoom flyby view?
I'm not home right now, but look for "external view zoom in", external view zoom out. I configured my keys "alt + 3" - zoom in, "alt + 2" - zoom out
...i think in GUI page of controls.
I know it's not the main focus of the simulator, but it could really use a graphical update.
I also agree, but it's still in early access, released less than a week ago. They should probably release, I hope, because a lot of people are wanting the same thing. Thanks man 🍻🙂

I'm surprise people still don't fly VR. I have Track IR 5 and there is no comparison to the richness and feel of high end VR. Nice video however, thanks.

Why is it surprising? To make the VR switch, the average person will need to spend $1,000 US. And the results are mixed at best. It's a lot of cash that comes with a 45% chance after a few days, you will box them back up, never to be used again.
So I don't find it surprising at all.
I think that most people still dont use VR , and with TrackIR the videos are better to watch.
I have both. I prefer the 4k oled 48 inch tv with vrr 120fps just in front of me rather than 60fps at mid graphic settings (using a 4090)
Vr for immersion yes. The rest no for me. That amazin feeling of sitting inside the plane was gone after a couple hundreds of hours.
Does this come with some quick fly options, some missions, anything else to do but pointless quick flight

The DEM data looks fantastic in the new map. Unfortunately the satelite resolution looks terrible. I'll continue to fly these jets in MSFS as that ticks all the boxes for me, I have zero interest in shooting other planes down, that just brings it into the game space and that's not something I'm particularly interested in.

Grass and shrubs growing through the concrete pad in just the first few seconds shows this map needs a lot more time in the oven. God knows how many other bugs are out there. Nowhere near done even for Early Access.
Just a shame about the texture quality, lack of effort put into the airbases and no real thought for multiplayer servers utilizing the spaces.
Early access, don't forget.

I bought this map. but Russian territories now look poorly made, empty and boring.
I thought so too. It looks like a desolate place. The best of the map appears to be like mountains. Need more cities and airports. But isn't that really the case? Looking at Maps, it appears to be a less inhabited region. Thanks man! 🍻

It's so terrible, I waited for realise so long time, but got the piece of shit. The Atlantic is top if you want to compare this maps. The Kola now is looks like Caucasus. Don't loose your money.
