FYI: the home team is the Pioneers, so rightfully, it should be Midwest Pioneers vs. SF Bay Bombers. This game is from 03/15/73 Hammond, Ind. Great action.
As i remember between November 1971 until November 1973 The Ny Chiefs at Madison Square Garden televised no less than twenty games against other teams (I know due to the fact i was at most of the Chief games. I'm sure MSG has those tapes stored away somewhere!!!
I went to a sold-out event bw the Chiefs & SF Bay Bombers circa '72 at MSG. Great seats. Big fight in the seats that rolled down the rows. I'm going down this UA-cam rabbit hole searching for a woman skater, "Fatty Forbes." She went ballistic when she saw the sign that had her name. The match I went to the NY Chiefs rallied back but failed to win, leaving 20,000 fans disappointed.
I have to start posting again myself as I have some pretty weird games that are not on UA-cam yet. But if I had my wish I would take the create a new league and I would go somewhere in the middle of the way they escaped the new games to keep it more legit maybe 75% of the game will be legit but I would have some scripting for the fans but it would not affect the outcome of the game. As far as the Real non-scripted fight yes they will be penalized just like any other fight but I would have more severe penalties. I would also reintroduce match races for skaters from different teams that just don't get along and want to blow off some steam as long as they were equally matched.
@Crusader7077 Just a note: this isn't the 2nd half of the game you posted recently. This is the 2nd half of a different game. Bob Hein was out of action for that one but is skating here. And Ronnie Robinson is out sick for this game but skated in the 1st half of the other game.

It's a shame a lot of these were erased over and trashed.
This is roller derby. The way they do it these days is not rollar derby. ITS STANDING DERBY.
So True!
It’s a shame Jerry Seltzer gave this league up.
We see Roller Derby become Roller Games...

Did any game end any differently.....
"BTW, We'd like to tell you about the rules...Rules? Roller Derby Rules is an Oxymoron (While Charlie O'Connell cleans house)..There are no rules.
Did Charlie O'Connell leave to join the chiefs?
No, he left the Bay Bombers in October of 1971 to go to the Chiefs when the IRDL expanded. He was right back on the Bay Bombers by late May of 1973.
@@NYRNGR1 That's what I thought. No games posted of him with the Chiefs on here is there?
@@foundinbrooklyn6343 No, there are no games from that season anywhere. They were all taped over.
Oh, I hate to state the obvious, but Rita Williams never SNIFFED at being better than McGuire or Meyer.
