Exactly. This is just goofy. Thurman would've been the A side against both Spence and Crawford, if they'd fought back when Thurman was on top. So, he's not that guy anymore but does want to fight. How do you get payback? Flex the A side in negotuatuons and now you get the lipn share of the money. 60/40, 70/30. That's what Floyd did with Mosley and Cotto when those fights happened later and they weren't as hot as before. And his legscy benefitted from it.
If you can fight the the Porters, Danny's, Mikey's, Brook's, Khan's, and Peterson's, you can fight Thurman. Unless the worry is that he may be more risk than he's worth at this point. Then he has wins against Mikey who jumps up 2 divisions and is just not a welter, and Danny who gains 50lbs inbetween fight and longtime not top 10 anymore at 147 - He also badly needs the win over Bud for his reputation among boxing connoisseurs and his legacy. Bud is already a future hall of famer for being a four belt undisputed but with any respect - a unified one division champ is nothing for the history books.... But as far as the numbers are concerned, spence obviously pulls more in terms of ppv. In the USA, this is much more important than here in Europe. Crawford's tactical style just isn't that popular in the US

Know bud is a true welterweight because he grew into it. Same with Spence he was young at the time Keith said wait your turn Keith fought all the main welter in the division when he was on top. But the comments he made years ago offended these two fighters. And they don’t want to fight him. But that shouldn’t be a factor because Keith if I am not mistaken is the no1 challenger he has to get a shot soon from somebody by order.
