I got mine about 18 years ago. I carried on exercise and mountain training in Europe, jungle training Central America, Iraq and Afghanistan. After seeing your LMF I’ve realised how tired and worn mine looks. It’s covered in sniper tape and layers of whatever colour of paint was suitable for the environment. I’m not sure whether to give the old girl a spa treatment or keep her as is and buy a new shiney one. I do quite like the banged up look. As they say it tells a story.
I was in the army before molle webbing too, I went in 1983, before MRE and humvies, my side arm was a 45, all but 1 of my drill instructors were Nam vets, real bad asses, we didn't wear tennis shoes and shorts for pt either and if any of us needed extra motivation, our drill instructors weren't afraid to kick ass,
A foot in the ass is a great forward assist in life. I was in the Army from 88-96. We had a SFC in the comms cage that was in since the Vietnam war. His face looked like a topographical map and he knew his shit.

Here for the cat.
🐈⬛ is a narcissistic that understands. You can be one of his favored can openers 🤣
I kinda want to see if the blade can be switched as I prefer the infantry grip but a plain edge blade.
It doesn’t seem to have the plain edge version on their website.
I know. What a shame. I may have to modify on to get that superior edge. 😂😂
