  • Back in 1988 Rusty Wallace fired up a Busch Series team with his brother ‪@KennyWallace36‬ as the driver. Kenny raced out of THIS building at the very beginning of his NASCAR career. He has not been back inside since '93! Rusty sold the team to Felix Sabates of SABCO racing who ran Kenny in the cup series for one year before letting him go to FILMAR Racing, where the former shop can be found in part two below!

This video was completely impromptu... These people were caught off guard with a rolling camera when we walked in 😂After this we went to the former FILMAR Racing shop where the famous Red Dog and Square D cars came from! Find that video here: ua-cam.com/video/WsNhIE9xfoA/v-deo.html

Kenny just walking in out of nowhere into that shop introducing himself and talking.. reminds me so much of my dad and uncles when I was a kid who wherever they went or shops they went to or whatever would just walk in and start talking and introducing themselves "never met a stranger" type vibe.. I love it and glad you keep that stuff in these videos

Kenny should be a re-occurring guest host on the channel. He's an excellent tour guide and first-hand historian. That, and he doesn't "make phone calls or haggle around--[he] just walks in and says 'hey, get outta my shop!'" 😂

When it was Winston it was really a big deal. Prior to Winston it was guys running modified street cars out of household garages pulling them to the track in their own pickup trucks on a flatbed trailer. Once Winston got in the money seemed to really kick up and the more dedicated racing shops seemed to start by the time kenny was getting in it seems the dedication was pretty heavy and the drivers were no longer the main guy making the race. By the end of Winston it was pretty well as big and elaborate as it ever got.

i'm still glad to see herm is herm on tv or wherever. he don't put on a personality. he is the personality. as for the sabco thing, did felix run a busch team he sold to the dick fella, totally separate from the cup team he then merged into ganassi and now is trackhouse? and, i'm sure you of all people are aware, but the last remaining vestige of DEI being on track in cup in any function was the font on the 1 car of kurt busch for ganassi.

I don't know if they even allow cameras in their shop, but the one I would really like to see is Dale Jr's late model shop. Carson Kvapil is winning everything. I think he is there every day. Yea some men might have wanted to be Earnhardt, yet this man here did not. Because all I want is motorsports to invest in me as I most certainly have done for the majority of my 47 years. (Plainly put, I need to get paid to work as hard as I've worked for freefthy over that time frame.)

Mitchell, you do so much more behind the scenes for these videos. There are intros to make with the people currently in the buildings, and you have to get permission to video not only the interior but also the people. Awesome job!
