Spyderco Lum Chinese was first modern Shilin Cutter that I ever had. Spyderco kind of didn't give it the love the design deserved, mostly slippery aluminum or smooth carbon fiber handles, felt like an oiled banana in hand.

Bob Lum was the Designer, he past away some years ago, great custom Designer.
Crazy idea here; I would like a mini nightshade liner lock, thumb stud knife with partial serrations 3/8 of the way up the beginning of the blade. In micarta if possible. The knife already looks funky and the serrations would help with straps, rope and band cutting while the belly slices and the tip details. Literal knife perfection.
A serrated nightshade would be a rope and strap destroyer!

I'm wildly stoked on the Mini. I carry it as a secondary to my CS Spartan or Spyderco Pacific Salt most such a perfect backup.
I've also never seen a cross bar on such a small knife work so well!

I never did pickup the full size Nightshade, although i wanted to. Now the mini my fit the bill because i have been looking for a fifth pocket carry to rotate with my Maileahs! Thanks for the review! 👍

It's a nice little guy and it's a Christmas present from my mom so it's sentimental and I lost my precious kitty Sarah my fluffy pretty girl before Christmas after spending 200$ for medicine and she still died so it was such a nice little present from Mom to cheer me up and made me feel better about life. Knives, kitty cats, Goth, Mom and last but definitely not least, Jesus Christ is the things that make me happy in life and I have passion for ❤. Great video brother 👍
The Vosteed mini freek 👍. Getting this . I have the bm mini freek and it’s cool af since it drops with a tight enuf pivot . The other one is a little wiggly or needs more hand time .
BETTER than the full-size! I have the premium version (they're both excellent) and it's a snappy little beast!
Mine finally came in yesterday and I'm not in love. The cross bar lock is kind of meh.. definitely agree its a little too small and would have been better as a liner lock or other. I have a CJRB Maileah which is also very small and it hurts to say I may like it more. I'm going to test drive it for the next week because I really do love how slicey it is.
Yep I agree. They should have kept it as a liner lock. The Maileah is a badass little knife!! So snappy and fun

I haven’t, no. I do know that they all have great detents, so it just comes down to personal preference. 🤘

Agreed. Once you cut with it though, looks won’t matter anymore. I’d recommend the deployment hole version of the full size
