"Hello" from Portland, Maine George! Thanks for letting us know you're still here. It's people like you that give me encouragement. Life has me feeling like a walking funeral at age 66. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." For God so loved the world that He give His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the World through Him. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, and All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. " If you want to be sure of Heaven and avoid the other place below say the following prayer sincerely from your heart." Lord Jesus I repent and am sorry for my sins forgive me. I forgive all who have offended me.I believe you died and Rose again .Come into my heart and save me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and baptise me with your Holy Spirit. Fulfill your plan and purpose in my life. "I recommend you read John's Gospel especially chapter 3.Gbu.John 3v3v22,John 14v6.

The esteemed British actor Michael Caine served during the Korean War at the same time as my father and his brother, albeit in different armies. Caine was a conscript in the British Army, while my father and his brother served in the New Zealand Army. My dad's brother was in the 16th Field New Zealand Artillery. Caine praised the New Zealand artillery in his autobiography, "What's It All About?" published in 1992. In "What's It All About?" Michael Caine praises the New Zealand soldiers and their artillery during his time in Korea. He describes them as highly skilled and efficient in their operations. Caine is particularly impressed by the speed at which the Kiwi artillery fires, initially mistaking it for automatic fire due to its rapidity. This observation speaks to the professionalism and effectiveness of the New Zealand forces during their involvement in the Korean War. Caine's admiration for the Kiwi soldiers and their capabilities is evident throughout his autobiography, highlighting the camaraderie and respect among soldiers from different nations during times of conflict.

He was struck off his horse by lightning. He had his old dog with him, Nero and Nero stayed with him in the veldt for four or five days before going to seek help...As the folks on the farm were still looking for him and his horse. And some while later while in the mountains my granddad was spat in the eyes from spitting cobra...so he had only one good eye left... hahaha...There is a sayin when going gets tough, the tough get going 😅. I’m 76 , born in New Brunswick Canada in 1947. Started my first job at 11 years old and just retired ( again as my friends say) last October. I was working on a pipeline project for CGL through the Rocky Mountains of B.C. I’m a great grandfather now and only working part time so I have more time for my family. Life has been kind to me and I appreciate that.

Thank you for your report with photos! So surprised and pleased to see so many amazing actors still with us! I recall attending a Dodger stadium game with my father and family and sitting in the bleachers. It was the early 70’s. I couldn’t have been more than 14 years old. The visiting team was the San Francisco Giants and Willie Mays was playing center. I saw his ‘back ‘ literally! My dad loved him and his excitement was contagious! I think sitting in the bleachers couldn’t have cost more than a few dollars- it was wonderful! You met the most wonderful and incredibly spirited people. There were times that a fan was so excited, he’d buy the whole row some popcorn or treat to share in their love for the game and excitement! The energy of the fans was beyond words! Birdie B.

When I was a kid in the 1960s, somebody who was 65 was regarded as old and usually looked old. All four of my grandparents were deceased by age 66. I'm 66 and I'm in great shape. Damn.....all my heroes aren't even a shadowy reflection of their former selves. Age sucks for most people. For me, these people will live forever. WHen they don't, it saddens me. Carl Withers today....so many in the recent past and how many others. No longer will Hollywood make great movies.....I've not seen many of recent vintage either. Where has talent gone? Where has great directors disappeared to? Sometimes it feels like life just isn't worth living any longer.......
